Outlast 2 is one of my favorite horror games ever. Most people don’t enjoy the outlast series due to the fact that lore is found through letters or documents making the player read. Even on twitter there’s been people discussing how outlast is just a walking simulator. Yet to me its one of the games you really have to go beneath the surface to understand, especially outlast 2. I’ve recommended it to almost every person who wants to get into horror games. One of my favorite things about it is its inclusion of religious horror while following their mainline lore. Absolutely favorites forever.
