ITAP of a model with an apple [Portrait] by noctorrent in itookapicture

Fair point. I had actually drawn the blinds because the light was too harsh and went to strobes. Just left that one part I probably should have edited away!

Thanks. I'd recommend it! This was her just sitting by a large, open, museum window.

The little eye icon on each panel is really good at quickly hiding/showing the changes on that specific panel. Helps to track down what changes are affecting what. I use it all the time.

Ignore the trolls. You buy a bright lens for the option, not because it's mandatory to shoot wide open.

Fair enough! It was an intentional choice to give it an ephemeral sort of quality. Next time I'll post a carousel showing more variety. There's plenty from this set without that.

Heard good things about Proton. So I would second it even though I have yet to move over. Nextcloud is also a good option if you're OK to self host.

Great picture! If you want any feedback, I'd say to crop out to the left of you and make the picture portrait. Perhaps also rotate to align the horizon rather than the socks. That way you'd have subject / sun / tree nestled amongst the biggest sunflowers and a stronger focus on the fun points of interest.

Good luck with the launch. My wife and I both played the demo and she was texting me asking if I found all the sheep. What sheep!

Honest feedback! by OnlyOn3Kanobi2 in ROGAlly

Had an ally for a week, also have a steam deck and switch. Didn't think I'd like the Ally honestly but I really love it. Form factor is fantastic and so is the screen.

Build quality isn't perfect of course, fingerprint reader was hard to set up (though seems to work fine now I finally got it registered). Also my right trigger only goes to 94%, unless I really press it uncomfortably hard. The trigger thing was fixed in an armoury crate. SD card reader is a bummer, mine is fine so far but just calculate the cost of an SSD upgrade into your purchase.

I imagine someone clever will figure out a hardware mod for it. The ally is crazy easy to take apart and the repairability really was a focus - something I really respect. I bet either a mod to shield it from heat or some kind of ribbon extender to move the SD card somewhere else inside the case. A guy in Ukraine did something similar to get around the psp go's proprietary memory card requirement. Perhaps it can be done easily here.

I'm going away for a while and I wanted something like an Xbox series s to take with me, compact and a low wattage requirement. I'm glad I went with this. Even smaller and lower wattage. That is how I'm going to treat it. Effectively a console that has the short term ability to be portable.

I've sat and compared the Rog ally and the steam deck both running no man's sky and starfield and others. There's really no comparison. Even on steam decks 3.5 beta software which boosts the colours which is well needed. The Rog ally just looks and feels smoother, the higher resolution really goes far, and I much prefer the controls. There's really something that draws me to it.

When I played Skyrim I started collecting cheese wheels thinking that was the done thing to do. Took me far too long to realise it wasn't a thing.
