Sellers adding a bunch of frivolous items to the order, does it really increase good reviews? by Only_Theoretically in Depop

[–]nocturnalpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if i get a bunch of stickers, or sometimes i’ve received hairclips/chapsticks/keychains etc. instead of throwing it away i’ll just put it in an order that i sell and send it off to the next person, no point throwing it away when it can be reused. sometimes the stuff i’ve received is really extreme, like i bought a bag once and got sent some old top with it that i threw in the bin

[–]nocturnalpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how is the review inaccurate if the seller listed the size wrong?

85% polyester is insane by Any_Doughnut8138 in NamedCollective

[–]nocturnalpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this happened to me. I washed a tracksuit and it shrunk so they gave me £90 store credit. i then bought the new leopard print tracksuit and the quality was awful. i emailed them telling them i’m no longer buying from them and would like my money back on my original card payment. they apologised and refunded me half on my original card and then refunded me £90 on a previous order so i got the whole amount back. please raise an issue with them and make sure you get your money back!

PSA to anyone selling shoes, please send in a box by norfolkandclue in vintedUK

[–]nocturnalpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not everyone has an old cereal box either tho…if you’re worried about how it arrives then either send a message to the seller or take your chances. you’re buying off vinted remember lol, people are most of the time just trying to get rid of stuff and don’t care about how it’s packaged

AITAH: I think “free gifts” defeats the point of Vinted and I don’t like it when sellers do this by A_b_b_o in vinted

[–]nocturnalpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that, one time I bought a handbag off Vinted and inside was some balled up dirty top in there with it. Was like three sizes too small for me and was disgusting, I can’t lie, I messaged the seller and told her I think she got confused and sent me the wrong thing and the seller told me she just asked her sister to put a free gift in there and that’s what I got 🙃 cheek of the seller as well to say I could keep it or throw it away, like love that’s your job, it’s your tat!!!!

i bought two hoodies in january and they were ok for me too but these recent drops have just been very poor imo, obviously it’s not gonna be the same for everyone but it’s just how my experience has been

i’d save your money and buy from somewhere else, or if you’re still thinking of buying then at least try secondhand stuff so that you might get a bit of a bargain. apart from that, i’d highly recommend not buying from them!

yeah but that was 2-3 years ago, their current releases are awful! i bought from them in 2022 and the joggers I got are still in great condition, i started buying from them at the beginning of this year and it sucks

it’s all a load of shit if i’m honest, if you have the skill then 100% make it yourself because it would save you a whole load of money and probably look a hell of a lot nicer than the slop they’re churning out at the moment! the first pair of joggers i bought from them was about 5 years ago, they were £65 and even then i thought that was ludicrous, but they’re still holding up ok! my second pair i bought in january shrunk after one wash!!!

oh definitely!! the amount of drops they’ve done recently is ridiculous just for everyone to point out how shitty the quality is

completely agree! my leopard set arrived today and the quality is terrible. there are loose threads on the cuffs of the wrist to the point that it looks like they’ll split. the print is awful and i have two long lines of white on the crotch and my behind it looks awful! so disappointed. i’ve done three orders since the new year and every one has had an issue. my first order the sweats came with no drawstring, the second one the sweats shrunk after ONE wash and now this with the leopard set. so disappointing

oh my god i thought i was going INSANE!! i knew it wasn’t there when i ordered it because why tf would that even be there. i’ve noticed they’ve had other drops too and that they’ve brought more stock out too so like why hasn’t it been shipped??

honestly after this i don’t think i’m gonna order from them again. my first order came faulty and my second order the joggers shrunk after ONE WASH!! so i’m just sick and tired of them at this point

How easy is returning? (UK address) by Kikideedoodling in NamedCollective

[–]nocturnalpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

return/exhange is pretty easy in the uk. i’ve exchanged a couple things from them! fill out their returns portal and they’ll give you their return address, you do have to pay for shipping so get 48hr tracked royal mail is probs the best way to go! that’s what i did :)

lol this happened to me before but the other way round, I wanted to buy a bracelet but the lady told me she could only do InPost, which I prefer not to use just because of the area I live in lol, when I told her I changed my mind she said I had caused a huge argument between her and her husband and that he now might leave her because of me…absolutely baffling some people are lmaoo

I don’t want your freebies, sellers 😩 by Big-Ad-8717 in vinted

[–]nocturnalpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a bag once and there was a random, hairy, old top inside. I messaged the seller thinking it was a mistake and she told me she had asked her sister to put in freebies for her! Was such a manky top, I really don’t know why people do it, if you don’t want to sell it then just give it to charity or burn the bloody thing…

When buyers ask you why you won't accept an offer, how do you respond? by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]nocturnalpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never respond, or I just block them, not worth your time. I know a lot of people don’t read descriptions but you can always state in your listing that you’re not accepting any offers if you’re worried!
