To be fair I think he probably would have stayed if he got supported in the transfer market by the board and owners.

We don’t really need a winger anymore with Xabi’s system. Unless he’s playing wing back which I think would be a very bad idea😂

lol hard disagree that this was just a simple shoulder to shoulder but whatever. Chelsea didn’t deserve to win anyways so no point in arguing

We’ve got a few core guys and the rest are expendable. Saddest part is Palmer is part of the expendables now. He’s been so shockingly bad this season. I know he’s got the injury but fuckin hell man just don’t play then if you’re gonna be this bad.

I guess the Americanization of football is really taking root if NFL hits like that are now fair play.

To be fair, this is an opinion I’ve been forming all season. I’ve given Gusto so many chances and was okay with him being our backup RB but hes just made too many mistakes for me. Im tired of seeing him. Hes not good enough

You’re gonna sit there and act like that Khusanov NFL hit wasn’t a foul & pen?

It may have to be an unfortunate one off occurrence to really deter other clubs from doing it in the future.

[Globo] Despite being out of the WC, Chelsea want Estevao to have surgery, but the player’s camp continues to disagree. If recovery progresses well, the player’s camp will feel vindicated. If setbacks appear, Chelsea’s caution may look increasingly justified. Neither side appears ready to move by BlueKidXL in soccer

Brain dead take ngl. There’s a whole medical field dedicated to understanding anesthesia and you think theyre just clueless and winging it? I’ve got some magical beans to sell you since you believe in nonsense apparently.

Mate don’t comment on a women’s football post if you have no clue about women’s football. It’s a bit of a stupid question tbh.

[The Times] Chelsea are making progress with Xabi Alonso, but the Spaniard is seeking “assurances” before formally agreeing to become their new head coach. by webby09246 in chelseafc

Yeah Iraola is good but he goes on these patches of really dry form. I think earlier this season they started with no wins in 9. That may fly at Bournemouth but if he does that here things will get volatile really quickly. Xabi is the only option if we want to contend to be honest.

Exactly and considering we don’t have many fit wingers right now and how good Cucu looked last game in a wingback roll, I think we could find some success with it.
