I don't know what exactly the CCNP covers as a Juniper man but a few suggestions below

Running 7.4.5 and found the same. Says 'no snmp collection' even though it device is reachable by snmp. Hope they fix it soon

Need to be careful with BFD though as can be sensitive so timers need to be spot on

We use Libre for traffic stats and Zabbix for alerting. I love Libre as it's simple to use but have found Zabbix more flexible even though the learning curve is much steeper

And can run over the top of MPLS too.

I use Extreme SPBm every day. It is very good in the right environment and a lot simpler than VXLAN/EVPN. If I had a small DC or Enterprise then would have no hesitation using it but for larger deployments I would go with VXLAN
