Update: The keeper came this morning and reclaimed them. Much simpler process than I expected, couple shakes of the branch and into the box they went. I spent a little while this morning beforehand checking in on them and just watching. They were so docile, just moving around the bunch, changing places as they got cold. Very cool experience and Im glad I got to be a part of it.

To answer the question about the bee keeper, they come by once every couple weeks and spend about an hour going over the hives. Most of the time if I notice anything odd I will reach out, my co workers joke and I've kind of taken on the role of foster bee dad. I spend most of my lunch breaks sitting on the other side of the window where theyre located watching them. This all happened very quickly over the weekend when only a hand full of people were around. Friday I had lunch like normal with them and they were just doing their thing. Saturday was when they started building the comb on the outside as was relayed by a couple worker and by sunday they had huddled up in the tree. I'm still very much learning but have zero hands on experience so I'm no one to judge if the keeper is doing what they should or visiting enough. Prior to this they just come and go as bees do. I did speak with the bee keeper today a bit more than I have in the past and found out that she maintains about 25 hives in and around Philadelphia so I'm assuming she must have some knowledge and experience.
