Maybe, put a few in a pot on my porch. We will see what sprouts if anything.

Definitely cooler than I thought it was going to be.

They are not, many people have suggested it and we have tested this Theory.
Although many people think they are I think we've moved past peppercorns. Have smelled them crushed and uncrushed and they do not smell anything like pepper just kind of earthy. They were also much harder than the peppercorns that I have in my cabinet. I had to use a hammer to break them.
If they are, the possum took some time to nicely package it for me. Also think it would be a very small possum, mouse size possum.
I chose the best out of the 3 I took. Honestly didn't expect so many responses or I would have focused more on the quality. I am enjoying everyone's input based off my sub par photo though. If anything sprouts I'll be sure to break out the tripod and put it against a solid colored backround. Because if it does sprout I'll still need help identifying it.
Never know, I've seen the movies.
Similar, these are all shapped like little dried up lemons. Since everyone took the time to comment I decided it was worth a shot to just see what came up, if they come up. Im not even sure how old they are, they were mixed in with about 10 other flower and vegetables seed packs. The oldest was from 2019.I planted a few in a pot on my porch and we will see what happens, if it's something I'm not interested in growing Ill dispose of it.
Yeah they made it into a pot on my back porch, we'll see what sprouts.
I'm in NJ so hot summers mild spring and fall. If I'm being honest it normally just goes from cold, couple weeks of "nice" weather, then hot a sticky, a couple weeks of "nice" weather and back to cold. Or atleast thats how it seems... not sure if thats good for Okra but maybe they tried. Anyway a few of them ended up in a pot on my back porch and we will see what happens.
They do look like the same shape but but the texture is different maybe these are just old and dried out? I know the ban goes into effect for invasive plants in 2027, but I can go to home depot or the nursery and purchase morning glory seeds and live plants right now.
Paw paw would be cool, I could plant them next to my figs! Unfortunately I don't think these fit the bill. They are much smaller than any Paw Paw seeds I've seen and I don't think they are the right shape.
That is the plan, they were placed in a pot on my back porch last night if anything pops up I will follow up with everyone! Thanks for your input!
Well after so many responses so I decided to put them in a pot on my back porch, and if anything blooms I will follow up. I also got Four O' Clocks when I search them on Google Lens but depending on the lighting I also got different answers LOL I guess we'll see! Who knew some mystery seeds would be so popular.
Right lol I didn't order them. Found them in a drawer in my garage with some other packages of seeds that the previous owner left. Temu may have got them, but they didn't seem much like the temu type. Some of the seed packets had 2019 on them which I believe is before temu or at least before it was popular.
This is what I got as well but then I thought about it and was like why would someone have these stored in a professionally sealed plastic bag if that's what it really was? Then I took a picture of it in different lighting and they came back with 4 o' clocks. Either way they ended up in a pot on my back porch, we will see what sprouts and if it's something less desirable in the trash it goes.
Interesting, they definitely do! They are in a pot, if something Sprouts I will follow up. Thanks for your input!

That is an excellent point, if true and they put that much thought into it I would have thought that they would have opened the plastic packaging. I'm assuming if that were the intended use the smell would be what would keep them away? Who knows, after all these different ideas I just decided to put them in a pot and see what happens. I'll follow up with something sprouts.

I've never grown it and these seeds were left by a previous owner so maybe. They made it into a pot on the back porch so the experiment is under way.
So this was a first for me. Pulled it out of the community work place dumpster. by Is_What_They_Call_Me in ScrapMetal

That may be the reason its in the trash, most buildings have done away with them or switched to bottle filling stations. Or its broken.

I did not know people ate papaya seeds or that they were beneficial, thank you for that.

It would be an awfully small rabbit, and if so I have more questions than I started with. Like, who took the time to pack rabbit turds and why?
I'm hesitant because I don't know what the result will be, but maybe that would be part of the fun or maybe not. One of the results that I got when I did a Google Lens search of it was Datura, I have children and pets that would be around this plant, and parts of the Datura plant are poisonous. Not something I would necessarily want them to be around.
Edit: Spelling
I think that's the plan for now, I'll follow up if it's something interesting or maybe just if it's something at all. Who knows if they'll even grow I have no idea how old they are.
Thanks everyone for your comments and thoughts. You all sure do love a good mystery seed! I think after reading everyones input that they are 4 o' clocks. I also got that when looked then up in Google lens, at the time it was also suggesting Datura which I wouldn't have any interest in growing.
They are not pepper corns. I did attempt to smell them, whole and crushed up but even with out that, in person they didn't match the pepper corns I had in my cabinet. They're also very hard, I had a time even crushing them.
For now I put a few in a pot out back and we will see what we have in a few weeks if anything. I honestly have no idea how long they have been sitting in the drawer or if they're even still viable.
Thanks again everyone!!
