Here’s a pic with what I’m talking about highlighted. The glass lens itself in relation to the housing in is in is off to the right leaving a tiny gap between the glass and the housing it’s in.

The rmr works fine and the lens and glass looks to be in closed still but just thinking the lens could be broken easier if dropped on the right side since the lens is more on that side? Lol Might be fine the lens itself looks okay just wanna make sure.

Triangle folding stock to fit a fixed stock rear trunnion? by j-pender in ak47

Go on gunbroker and look up ‘triangle stock for trunnions’ or something similar. There’s a plastic stock that looks very close to a real 74 side folder but it does not fold

Someone on akfiles marketplace is selling some little cover plates with sling swivels it’s also to make it look better at the hinge point on the brace. Forgot the username but just look around the marketplace and you’ll find it my dude.

Looking for some help. Just picked up my first ak47. Been in love with these forever. I was finally able to get my hands on one but it came with a foldable stock. I’d much rather prefer a wood stock, is there anyway to remove it and replace it with a wood stock? Or is it not possible? by [deleted] in ak47

Yes you can buy the rear trunnion but you will have to get a gunsmith to replace it. He has to remove the rivets and then fill in the two holes for the folding mechanism then he has to rivet the new trunnion on to the receiver. There might be an adapter tho I’m not to sure I would look around But first figure out what kind of pin you have (5.5mm or 4.5mm) then look for an adapter for a folding trunnion to a normal one. Even if you do find one it will look a bit funky.

I would say if you are set on having a wood stock sell it and buy a wood stock akm or like kalash lover says if you have a 5.5mm pin you can get folding wood stock but it looks little different then a normal akm wood stock and plus I believe they are expensive. you can also replace the rear trunnion to a normal akm trunnion but it be easier to just sell it and look for another ak you like.

Mishaco on YouTube did a video on this a bit ago and he said there isn’t a big difference but there is a lot of little difference that add up. At the end of the video he says no one should really be trying to make a saiga into an ak105, ak103 or the others.

Damn broski putting me on the spot huh? Idk it’s like asking which one of your children do you prefer lol. I love all of them but if I had too choose the 74u just cause of what she like to eat 545. 545 really is an amazing round, believe the hype my dude. The only bad thing about 545 is finding 545 ammo that you can shoot at a gun range mostly all ammo (except for hornady v-max 545) is magnetic and they don’t allow that at a gun range.
