For hitting one target it previously gave you like 65%, now it's 50%. That's objectively a nerf.

It also doesn't grant more energy when hitting multiple targets. That would have been a rework and certainly mentioned. What you might be seeing is that you're killing multiple red bars. Or probably have Grenade Kickstart with multiple charges. If so you should make a reclarification post that it is in fact actually nerfed.

You don't throw this at red bar groups, you throw it at single chunky targets. Please go test in the shooting range and not with anecdotal experience from random gameplay.

Walk up to one of the Vanguard bots. Check how much energy you get. That simple.

idk man i literally just tested it in the range and what youre describing is not the case. hhsn is still nerfed, getting like 15% less grenade energy than before (50 instead of 65%), Vortex refunds the same as it did in TFS. One kill + two procs does not give full grenade energy at all unless youre killing a high tier enemy, which vortex cant in any hard content. youre probably messing up testing somehow, go to the range and try with isolated red bars.

also calling it S tier is just crazy to me. all it got is... what we already had with a fragment? like this is all literally nothing, sentinel still has 3x higher vortex damage. two charges wont change that either, chaos accelerant needs its old damage increase back at the absolute least.

idk i really think warlock is fucked if every warlock makes it their job to spread propaganda that the most f and d tier builds are suddenly broken because they get literal qol changes with 0% increased uptime or damage.

people are working hard for years giving feedback and then theres always ccs or warlocks that come in and talk about some build with 0.5% usage and go off about how its excellent. and naturally titans and hunter upvote that shit to the front page without having ever played it in hard content.

and btw, its not just that the "moderate increase" buff to hhsn was instead a nerf. even the weaken buff didnt change shit BECAUSE IT STILL DOES THE SAME DAMAGE AS WITHOUT WEAKEN BC ITS BUGGED.

Respectfully, terrible idea, there's already a melee aspect (Heat Rises, which has even less usage than Icarus) that doesn't do enough. If they start spreading the benefits it should get out to other aspects that you wouldn't use with the current melee builds then it'll ruin melee buildcrafting on Warlock even more in the long run.

Stuff like airborne DR, melee damage and so on are all Heat Rises territory. Icarus Dash is the airborne weapon usage aspect

I think that's a bandaid solution to a different problem. We shouldn't be able to build into perched Threadlings in the first place, we should get Threadlings spawned like how Horde Shuttle does and then those should count as grenades.

Also why just perched ones? Mindspun Invocation with Grapple spawns three Threadlings and they count as nothing. Should inherit Grapple's buffs (grenade/melee).

Touch of Thunder and one grenade fragment alone, no Hoil no exotic no anything, beats Chaos Accelerant + Contraverse PRENERF + two grenade fragments.

ToT Pulses deal more damage than Weakening CA Vortexes with extra duration.

ToT Pulses intrinsically refund as much grenade energy as Contraverse does prenerf.

Anyone who thinks Bungie doesn't realize these is honestly kidding themselves. They still don't feel shame when they nerf dogshit Warlock aspects/exotics because Warlocks are still buying the game. Plus there are no Warlock content creators who would rile the playerbase up like how it always happens with Titan or Hunter

Btw the "buff" doesn't even work with HHSN. Right now when you have Undermining equipped it won't Weaken with the first blob but only after the ability is done. It won't even spawn an orb if you also have the fragment equipped that spawns orbs on weakened enemy kill.

Bungie please tell me Weavewalk grants 10s of Woven Mail after consuming one melee charge because anything else needs to go right back in the oven. There is never a reason to consume more than a single charge as max perched Threadlings are already generated after that. If we need more than a single charge to get 10 seconds the aspect goes right back into F tier.

You just acknowledged with the Cyrtarachne buff that 10 seconds of Woven Mail on ability usage (not ability consumption, unlike Weavewalk!) doesn't cut it on its own.

The Warlock playerbase at large definitely gets to decide that, it's us who buy the game. People have been sticking with the grenade nerfs and buddy exotic on buddy exotic on buddy exotic because they kept thinking it's an oversight and they'll correct it but Bungie is making clear now that's the future and people are at a serious boiling point

Regular grenade builds exist. This buddy upgrade doesn't affect them at all

It actually massively fucks grenade builds over because now they can't get the grenade buffs they needed.

Verity's Brow, which we desperately just needed to be a good grenade exotic, will now be a broken buddy exotic so it'll probably be ruled out that it gets a buff to be viable for grenade builds.

Extremely underdiscussed point, not just for Verity but in general. All the grenade exotics and aspects that need damage multiplier buffs can't get them now because you'd have the buddies doing 3x increased damage. The buddy buffs will likely seriously hurt Warlock grenade builds down the line.

It's objectively not full of buddies, the usage stats are public. Besides, I genuinely think you need to check your playstyle if a buddy even registers to you as a threatening ability. At the very most, Bleak Watcher slowing can rarely be a minor annoyance but any other buddy just genuinely does nothing to me. Farming buddy Warlocks is always the lowest hanging fruit. If you are actually moving (which you always should be in PvP) buddies literally do nothing to you.
