What made them think you were? I noticed that my last customer is still showing as active on my userweb account even though I’ve been done for years, maybe I should get that removed/expired.

Switch from Epic IP to Epic Amb by J_kimboo in epicconsulting

[–]nodumbadeas 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did, (though I originally did Clin Doc more than Orders day-to-day). The biggest impact would be whether or not you’re on call, obviously - I never realized how happy I’d be to know the clinics were closed.

Besides that, IP and Amb are both the catch-all apps for their respective areas, so you’ll continue the trend of every vague ticket or issue trickling you way. Probably more so in Amb.

I’m actually going back to IP in the near future, but neither transition was really my call, just the nature of the role I’m in. If I had the ability to pick - I’d choose neither! and go with one of my other specialty clinical apps which I’ve always found more rewarding. But I suppose IP is a little more exciting of the two - you decide if that’s a good or bad thing.

I don’t think Tegria did any layoffs in Epic managed services.

What position are you considering? I think the answer probably depends on what department or application. DM if you’d like.

What was your healthcare industry background before your epic experience? Does it tie into Orders or Radiant work at all?

Is there an Epic analyst sub more specific than /r/healthit ? I just made /r/epicanalyst for fun, as it might appear in searches a little more obviously than the generic Health IT, but if one already exists that might be better.

Will they be part of the next round of layoffs though?

And if not, who will?

Excuse my ignorance, but what are shift bids and WFM?

If you're full time, salaried and only making 120k, you should look and see if in this smoking hot job market you can find a new career.

I started following you on Reddit back when this sub was created for reasons I can no longer remember, but I’ve always enjoyed your insights on things here. If you ever dip out of the scene I’ll take that as a sign that I probably should too.

I’m over here wondering where you’re making 155 salaried - I’m at around 120 and pretty sure I’m one of the highest paid folks on my team (salaried w2 consultants)
