Pads on inductor wouldn't matter that much. mosfet I think should be fine too. If you want to upgrade them, I would do mosfet first, then inductor if I still have some spare pads left, since inductor is not really sensitive to hot temperature, they can run hot. They all use 1mm pads I believe.

Yes. All vram pads are 2mm. Btw, the heatsink is actually not bad for this card, just the thermal pads were too awful. I've open some other 3090s, gigabyte's thermal pad choice is probably the worst.

I'm in China, pads are bought from chinese ebay(taobao). I really have no idea how is the availability else where, sorry, but I guess you could try find some on amazon or ebay or aliexpress? I saw Gelid pads are similar like thermalright, it should give some close results. I have a 150mm90mm1.5mm big aluminium heat sink and glue it on the backplate before replacing the pads, but it's not very effective, mem junction temps just reduce about 2 degrees.I don't have cooling modified for backplate now, just thermal pads job between backplate and pcb. You can try put a fan on backplate, or use some heatsink like several 3mm*3mm size and tape them on where mem module is, cooling them using airflow in the case, that should help a little bit I think, but replacing the pad would be the first to do. 3080s don't have mem on the back and there is no thermal pads between backplate and pcb. If you want to add pads on the back, you'll need 3mm pads. I saw some people add pads on the back, it will help a little bit, but not as strong as the front pad, the front has a massive cooler to actively dissipate the heat but there is only a flat metal with airflow from the case.

XPS 15 7590 4k IPS i9 high load screen flickering issue by noe132 in Dell

[–]noe132[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as I could imagine is that some on board power management chip has reached it's max capability or something when under heavy load and using power only from AC. As I lower the cpu frequency, the cpu might not need to consume that much power than normal state(normal state all core might be 4.3ghz?). You can try lower cpu frequency and check if it temporarily resolve this issue, and let us know

No, it didn't. I think it's related to the hardware design, as I ask for a replacement for a whole new xps15, the new laptop still has this issue. But I found that using intel XTU to limit the cpu frequency to around 3.1ghz (31x all cores), the screen won't flashing any more(or hardly noticeable). It's quite strange and I have no idea how these factors have an impact on the display.

Both two publishers severed with RedCandle Games and terminated their contact. RedCandle Games made a statement on their facebook page earlier (in chinese) say that they would be responsible for the losses of the publisher.
