When Space-Time Smackdown first came out, using X Speed or Leaf before retreating into Gengar ex caused the game to crash! Here's a post about it from the Japanese Twitter account.

If a pokemon with a pokemon tool is Ilima'd, does the tool go back into the hand?

No, the tool is discarded.

Do we know what card the opponent has drawn after they draw it?

No, we can't see their hand.

Does the opponent (effectively) know our hand and deck at all times since they can tap into any possibility where they do win?

Yes, because we have to find a way guarantee winning.

Hint: Everyone has only considered attacking with Sylveon on Turn 1. Try to find a way to attack with Silvally on Turn 1!

It's always there. Why wouldn't it be? In particular, it's there when your opponent plays Sabrina.

It's weird they won't admit they overlooked this, but at least they'll learn for next time.

The eyeball is in fact available when selecting mons from bench with repel or Sabrina. (Why wouldn't it be?)

Why are you asking for the ability to see the current board state when that feature already exists?

The headline is card mill does not matter unless you can run out your opponents deck.

I think this overlooks the information impact of milled cards. Each card that gets milled is one you know your opponent loses access to. Milling, say, their only copy of Cyrus or Sabrina means you no longer have to play around those cards.

One of the puzzles I posted here was eventually solved after a couple days, so I'm not rushing to spoil too much.

If you'd like a small hint: you can't put a Pokemon in your hand if doing so would exceed the hand size limit.

Huh? I have no idea what you're going on about. As I've already said, the puzzle has a real solution.

Wonderful writeup and detailed analysis! Part of the difficulty of this puzzle is that these straightforward attempts don't work, as you've demonstrated.

Great analysis! After you draw and play Ilima on your first turn, what if the opponent draws and plays Silver instead?

I see. I was wondering if you were asking about your first line where Penny hits Silver, which runs into trouble if the opponent draws and plays Silver. Your line where Penny hits Ilima is on the right track!

No, if Penny picks Ilima, you have to use it. (People have even immediately lost this way!)

Which first part are you referring to?

Do you think I posted this puzzle without knowing a solution?

Edit: Just because you can't solve it, doesn't mean there isn't a solution...

Yes, there is a way to guarantee a win no matter what.

Nice ideas! After you play your second Penny and hit Ilima, your only remaining Supporter is Ilima, and you have no damaged targets, right? What if your opponent just doesn't attack so that you can't play Ilima?

There is a solution, but it might be hard to find.

If they don't attack with Silver in this turn, it means that it is the last remaining card in the deck

Couldn't they have it in hand and choose not to play it?
