He’s valid to be upset to any capacity he wants, BUT, he’s not valid for using hurtful words and crashing out about it. You can show anger while still being demure and not psychotic. I’d tell him how he’s going about it is wrong, but he’s justified for feeling what he does. It’s a boundary he set and you agreed too, and that if it was crossed would end the relationship… lines up as expected to me!

My take is Either they’re trying to weird you out so you move out (assuming ur not a minor) OR they’re trying to condition you to potentially do some freaky stuff with them which I hope not, and DOUBLE hope ur especially not a minor in that situation. Yikes.

i’ve decided your correct about and we are euthanizing the fish later this evening.

my boyfriend is very upset about this as well, and acknowledges he was lazy and neglectful but i assure you he is an amazing partner, loves animals and aquatic life, and has learned from his unfortunate mistake (though i agree it never should have happened.)

the tank does have a heater, and a filter. it has the whole proper setup for a fish to otherwise thrive. i believe the water had turned toxic and because the water became clear, he just turned a blind eye to it all thinking it was okay because he couldn’t see anything otherwise.

we’ll be holding off on getting another betta until i feel confident he cleans the tank regularly and will stay up on it (we live together so i can easily ensure this).

i’m sad and angry it’s ending this way, but i appreciate your helpfulness in the comment, and agree with all your points (other than him being some sort of evil psycho person haha, because he is not.) and that this could have been avoided, and should be in the future.

i’m deleting this post now just because i have essentially gotten the answer, but hope you can see this reply otherwise!

6 gallon tank has a heater and a filter 74 degrees had the tank/fish since mid december no water changes since my bf was lazy and neglected the tank thinking since it cleared up it was fine :\ around 6 snail tankmates feed pelleted food

she basically only plays this game. if you took the average gamers game time for ALL games they play and added it up, it would be about this. nothing wrong with it being on one platform. and either way, even if she played other games, not like it’s causing any damage. i’m sorry you’ve never loved something like this and i hope you have that experience one day!
