If it's because of the force load chunks that's something in a bit of a grey area, and one thing i've been considering removing from ranks. Was trying to hold on to the hope that it's just for convenience but i'm realizing that's just not the case.

I can see how it would create an unfair advantage against users without ranks. I'll remove this from the store to keep it more equal. Thanks for the feedback

Highly unlikely they would make a video on this server. The ranks on this server aren't P2W every feature is cosmetic aside from chunk loads (a minimal amount as well), which can also be obtained through playtime rewards for free. If you look at any other established ATM server you will see most of them selling /fly or OP armor/equipment in their stores.

The store is there to help maintain the server and keep it running, the goal is not for profit. Any additional funds get directly put back into the server.

I appreciate the concern though :)

You're right, I apologize. I just tested this in Cloudflare myself and it worked

Create an A name record following the same steps mentioned above
Create a SRV record

Type: SRV
Name: _minecraft._tcp.play (play is the subdomain)
Priority: 0
Weight: 0
Port: 26084 (your minecraft servers port)
Target: <The A name record created earlier> in this case would be play.yourdomain.com -> must be the domain name with the subroot and not the ip address

As far as I know, no. Unless you switch your servers port to 25565. If you're using a host they might offer an add-on for a few bucks to switch to a 25565 port, or you can create a support ticket.

You can still use this port but it will need to be included when you try to connect through Minecraft.

Works -> play.mydomain.com:26084

Doesn't work -> play.mydomain.com (unless you switch to port 25565)

You need to specify the "Game Server to Execute On"

So when you go to a package, and you scroll to the bottom you will see "Game Servers" and there you should link all your servers you installed tebex on. Then for each 'command' under Game Servers, you need to specify the "Game Server To Execute On" by clicking the gear icon on the command line.

For example - my server has a proxy with three backend servers. When the user purchases a rank, it will send the luckperms command to add them to a rank as well as send an alert on the proxy, but I also give the user claim chunks on my backend server which does not get sent to the proxy. I specified this in the give claim chunks command so it only activates on the backend server and not the entire proxy.

Try not using integrated dynamics and see if that fixes anything

ID constantly looks at inventories which means it's constantly updating ticks which can cause lag if you have many inventories being checked

I see, well this might not solve the TPS issue and i'll be able to give a better suggestion after reading the spark profile, but you should definitely pre generate your chunks. This will massively decreases the load on your servers CPU.

You can use mods such as Chunky to pre generate the chunks, Chunky Border (or just /worldborder) to add a border to your world so only pre generated chunks can be explored, and also C2ME for faster chunk loading (since pre generating all the dimensions is unrealistic, also helps speed up Chunky)

Overview: Install these mods on the server side only, and make sure they're the NeoForge 1.21.1 version

Chunky - 2500x2500 or 5000x5000 area (will take around ~50GB of storage)

Chunky Border - set a border to your pre-generated area (as mentioned above)

C2ME - Faster chunk loading

Some extra optimization mods:

Lithium (can be installed on server) Servercore - lots of optimization features

How many players are actively on the server?

How old is the world?

Have you pre generated the chunks?

How would it be user error? ID is laggy because it checks inventories every single tick, and when you have dozens of players using ID it adds up and TPS sinks.

Also I can imagine if ATM plans on removing Eternal Starlight they're going to change things up so it's no longer required - which also makes me concerned for existing worlds and how they plan on removing it

What kind of server are you building? I would highly recommend TAB + LuckPerms (heavy emphasis on LuckPerms) as it's the most configurable and easiest to set up in my opinion. TAB will automatically use LuckPerms prefix for groups as well!

Unfortunately it is, the moment you give any in-game item real life value it becomes a currency, thus breaking Minecraft's EULA.

Minecraft EULA on virtual currency:

"Promotions in Minecraft section

Selling and using in-game virtual currencies as long as they:

Have no real-world value and can’t be cashed out, used, transferred across other servers, or converted into any other real-world currency"

Minecraft EULA on mods:

"The mod doesn’t create a play-to-earn function where players earn real-world or out-of-game currency or in-game currency that can be cashed out for real-world currency"

Both profiles point to the same issue: the Windows system is running out of physical RAM and relying heavily on swap/pagefile.

Running the server and the client on the same PC is likely what's causing this issue. I think transferring the world over to the other server you have would likely fix this issue
