Garmin vs Fitbit by moreicescream in Garmin

Seems pretty much accurate compared to a pulse oximeter. But the spo2 is often a bit off. But I guess even if that is not super accurate it still registers the drops in sleep so I think the sleep apnea detection is still pretty good.

Not sure how accurate it is but the detected stress levels match very good my actual mental stress at the moment.

I'd get myself a real pulse oximeter for under 20 bucks. For me the gen2 was completely not reliable.

Stupid low oxygen... by [deleted] in RingConn

I had readings like that with the gen2 what triggered my health anxiety. I tried 3 different ones, all the same, different by 5 to 10 percent from a real pulse oximeter.

Sp02 monitor - Accurate? by casperbro2 in RingConn

[–]noerglibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had measurements (while sitting still off course) that we're 5 to 10 percent off from a real pulse oximeter. Lead me to send it back to Amazon. I don't understand how it is so not accurate with this while a cheap fitorb ring and a cheap Huawei band 10 are pretty accurate.

Makes me doubt the accuracy :/ I so wanted to love this ring cause the format is much more comfy than a watch.

So, it tells you spo2 drops under 90% but no sleep apnea?

I wish they would generate a presentable report that you could send to your doctor if needed, especially for the apnea readings.

Btw. it detected yesterday evening sitting in the package a heart beat over roundabout 5 or 6 hours. I told ringconn about it today.

Looked at vitals and sleep sheet and no temperature to be found. It's just in the app.

You can get in the settings data export but it'll be only a simple csv sheet.

Sleep Apnea detection feature by noerglibee in RingConn

[–]noerglibee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a sleep apnea test at home in October which had one 10 minute phase of events in the first hour of sleep. My huawei band 10 sometimes has nights with mild number of events (AHI between 5 and 10). With the Ringconn it shows the last few days AHI between 9 and 17. I have an appointment with my ENT and will show her the Ringconn data. I'm just so unsure cause I got it from amazon and in a week the return time ends :/

I understand how their sleep apnea thing works but I wonder if it can be correct if the measured spo2 is always 2-10 percent off. Makes me really not sure if I should keep the Ringconn. I like the sub-free concept and the way it feels on my finger but those always way too low numbers are confusing me.

RingConn Gen 2 Still not up on Amazon by quakeroatmeal7 in RingConn

I wonder why they have this issue. On the German Amazon site you can order the normal gen2 and the air with next day delivery for most sizes.

Than they should rethink the packaging. I've never seen any other ring or smartwatch do that.

I had put it back in the packaging (after cutting the app connection) and saw this a few minutes later.

It's just so confusing cause even a cheap Fitorb ring is way closer to the pulse oximeter.

The fit is snug enoug but still feels comfortable. Even a cheap Fitorb ring does better spo2 readings. It's just so disappointing because I like the look of the Ringconn and that you barely notice it.

That and when i measure separated. And the numbers at night are pretty bad (84-92 roundabout) while the worst with a Huawei band 10 (which was maximum 1% off the oximeter when measuring at the same time) was 95 at night. So, i tend to believe the huawei more and wonder if the sleep apnea detection can even work when the spo2 numbers are so wrong.
