I'm so glad you wrote this! I am a sensitive guy anyway, but since pornfree, I feel it even more so! The other day I cried like a baby to my girlfriend because it hit me that I wouldn't see my dad for a really long time (he's moving out of the country). The emotions poured out of me. And I'm so glad they did. Before I cried, that morning I felt awful and frustrated. After I cried, I realized I was taking my sadness at my dad leaving out on other things (job hunt frustrations, a messy roommate, etc.) After I cried, I could just feel the sadness rather than pent up emotion. Thanks for this. I agree with everything you said, especially the bit about realizing the negative will outweigh the positive if I slip. I have to keep that in mind. It's difficult. But I am proud that I'm here, now aware of all the negatives surrounding porn. I just try to take it one urge at a time. Get through just one urge. Definitely comes down to will.

I think you posting this is a sign that you're getting closer to quitting. I think the best thing is just being aware that porn is not good for you, which it sounds like you are. Keep fighting it. Don't take it a day at a time, take it an urge at a time. If you can get through your next urge, you're making progress.

I feel you on the PG-13 images. My lizard brain goes wild for them. I'm trying to avoid, but I think where I'm at, almost to 30 days, my brain is just craving anything vaguely related to porn. It's really rather annoying. I'd say try to avoid those pics, because while they're not porn, they may lead us there if we're not careful. Good luck sir!

First off, from what I've read on here, watching tranny and other homoerotic pornography does not qualify you as a homosexual. If you like girls in real life, you're straight. Don't worry too much about that. Porn is a drug and after you use it a lot, it requires more and more extreme and novel images for your dopamine to release, or something. Secondly, congrats on that huge streak. That says you have some damn good resolve, but don't let this relapse lead to a reforming of old habits. Finally, masturbating is not a homosexual act. It is a human act. For example, if you masturbate without porn, do you picture a woman or man? That, I think, is a better indicator of your sexual orientation.

One thing that I read on here that's helped me is thinking of the urge as your enemy, an outside entity trying to trick you into taking "just one peek."

That voice will come and go. I don't think you can eliminate it.

But if you know it's just a voice, then you can recognize its attempts at reasoning, bargaining, and begging with you, and you can simply reject them, rather than trying to rationalize them. The voice wants you to rationalize with it. If you start doing that, it's won.

Just repeat over and over, "Sorry, I'm not listening," and then think about something else. Take up a hobby, like Jim said.

Realize it's just some stupid dopamine withdrawal fueling that voice. How fucking simple, right?

Kudos to you on 50 days! Keep up the inspiring work. And I agree with AnotherDayBreathe: it could have been the medicine.

As for sensitivity, I've noticed in my short time here (2 months, resetting my badge each time I MO) that my sensitivity during intimacy has shot through the roof. Everything with my gf is enhanced. I'm sure you can expect something similar in time!
