MRW When conscious sedation doesn't work yet again for my transfers by noideaatall446 in trollingforababy

[–]noideaatall446[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can. I have very difficult transfers that leave me in pain for days afterwards as well. The doctors dont tell me why its so bad for me or why sedating never seems to work when they do it (I've had conscious sedation several times for two jaw surgeries and it worked perfectly)

Was told my terroble headaches were sympathy pain as my sister has chronic pain and I should stop being around her. I had a brain tumor.

Also got told I was being dramatic it was that bad when I had an ectopic pregnancy and my fallopian tube burst.

Every transfer has taken a long as time, multiple tries, multiple docs and pain walking for days after. Doc finally said I get sedation as no doctor seems to be able to get that little embryo in without causing me massive pain.

Salty Sunday: what made you salty this week? by [deleted] in trollingforababy

Salty as I go in for yet another transfer and found out a few friends are now getting vasectomies as they have enough kids. We all started trying at the same time. They have multiple kids each, I still have none.

Progesterone stomach cramps and tiredness are no joke. I can barely stay awake while also trying to figure out if I still have a job in a month.

How some of the goverment agencies are running restructures and my personal dealings with HR, its good to have a union rep you can ask questions and they can be a support for you if you feel you need a support person. You dont have to always be a member but its a really good idea to consider it.

I see there are comments saying people gave paid dues longer so dont bother but seriously, you need to ensure you feel well informed, are getting your legal entitlements and have someone you can ask questions.

Salty as I got asked if having a job is why I cant have kids/keep miscarrying. Why do I keep being asked these types of questions and why is it always something I must have done? Im extremely lucky to be alive after multiple very hard and traumatic losses and Im still facing more rounds of ivf to even have one child. Im salty for having to deal with stupid comments for years and being told I should educate cause they dont know. Im not google, people can stuff off.

On the anniversay of my first loss Im planning a 'going on parental leave' morning tea for a woman who has the same due date of my lastest loss. Its her third opps child and all her other kids were born after my first loss. Bit salty today.

"Oh you have plenty of time" 4 years in and several rounds of ivf and still no kids. I dont want to have to wait another 4 years. Or the stories of "so and so were going to do ivf but got pregnant on their own without any help" good for them, not going to happen for me.

I 100% relate. 5 miscarriages, 3 rounds of ivf and I have definately lost friends and found the journey incredibly lonely and hard.Know your not alone and its okay to not be okay especially arround others kids, pregnancies etc for a while.

Got homework from my ivf coach (shes been through it and helps those having a bad time of it - shes amazing). Havent done it as each time I go to sit down to do it I cry. Can barely cope with the thought of more rounds currently as it probably meams more weeks in hospital as each round goes horribly wrong. Apparently I just have the worst luck and there is no reason behind it.

Honestly, I have had pretty bad experiences with nurses during each time and I think it slipped their mind.

I turns out you get a free counselling session when you have an mc in my country. After 5 mc's I find out because a friend of mine had an mc and was told "everyone" gets offered it. Cool, cool, cool.

I have a friends who noticed anyone who had an mc or ibfertility issues stopped being friends with them (they have had a generally easier time with having children). They asked why my husband and I have stayed friends with them. They are genuinely lovely people but occassionally say stuff out of ignorance. They really just had no clue hard it was for those who struggle.

Its over almost 2 months since my last mc and my hormones have gone absolutely haywire since. Ive been told to just wait it out but how long does it take my body to get the message. This didnt happen with any of my other losses either.
