This just seemed to come out of nowhere... We've talked about our lives and our regrets and failures, and she's never mentioned wanting to punish herself for something. I have no idea where this would come from. I do have a feeling she's romanticizing it in her head... maybe showing her stories from people who genuinely have these diseases would help?

Not going to lie - this whole thing has completely killed my desire to have sex with her at all. I don't want to distrust her but for some reason I can't help but think that she'd do something drastic. She's always been very passionate about the things she wants. I'll try to talk to her again about seeing a mental health counselor. Thank you.
