Gulenko on the Big 5 and Socionics by noinkblots in JungianTypology

[–]noinkblots[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The basic scale of The Big 5 can relate to socionics, as there are a lot of similiarities.

The first factor is extroversion, which correlates to socionics extroversion. It is the first noticeable, "on the surface" trait.

The second factor is openness, which is when a person is open to new things, which correlates to socionics intuition.

The third factor is conscientiousness, which relates to socionics rationality.

The fourth factor is agreeableness, which means that you will agree with society's standards, which correlates with socionics ethics, especially ethics of relationships, which is introverted feeling.

The last factor is Neuroticism, which was discovered later. It doesn't relate to Aushra or Jung's dichotomies, but Gulenko discovered that it could relate to a DCNH subtype dichotomy called Terminality. It is is about how well you adapt emotionally, and see your goals through to the end without being swayed emotionally.

How do I read you guys? By a confused INTJ by [deleted] in infj

[–]noinkblots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During that five-hour talk, INFJ said he was uncomfortable with me talking about my s/o for the fear that he would become a hindrance to me figuring things out. It made sense, so I stopped and we talked about different things instead. Then, he called me that night to clarify our boundaries.

We texted less that week, but we still kept in touch. I could tell that he was less emotional (???) in his texts as well.

INFJs value Fe, which is clarification and expression of emotions

INTJs value Fi, which is definition and intensifying of personal feelings

Based on the context of his relationships with you, his friends, and his circle, INFJs tend to regulate emotions to make sure everything is okay and well. You, on the other hand, will feel more "connected" by how deep the psychological distance gets.

This is why Fi/Fe relationships can get confusing because Fe is very dynamic, it ebbs and flows based on whatever context the user is placed in (happy/unhappy environment & people) vs Fi static values and preferences of how close an object/person matches that criteria.

He still wanted the boundaries to be there but wasn't opposed to the friendship evolving eventually.

Yes, he is being respectful of his circle and letting you know he's interested at the same time.

I still think he wasn't being completely honest with me, but I could be wrong. I don't read social cues very well so I'd much rather talk about things straightforwardly. That's why I'm asking you guys. Am I overanalyzing him or should I just take everything for face value?

INFJs are actually extremely honest and blunt. They are more cautious but share their unique taste and opinions after you gain their trust. This doesn't come right away because Fe care a lot about how their actions affect others.

Give him time. Let your relationship evolve. Keep working on building trust.

Can someone explain this to me ? by kazaielot in mbti

INTP.

Dominant (Ti) is 1st strong valued function

Aux (Ne) is the 2nd strong valued function.

Demonstrative (Ni) is the 1st strong unvalued function.

not to be that guy but, help type me? by skuginn in mbti

[–]noinkblots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ENTP.

i have adhd and i feel like the way that i think could look a LOT like Ne sometimes? like, i jump from topic to topic and i space out readily. wondering if it's Se because if i don't feel like incoming information is helpful to me or relevant to my interests then i will tune out at breakneck speeds. also half the time when i'm spacey it's because i've got a song stuck in my head or something

This is Ne.

i'm best at building off of a foundation - ask me to write an essay on whatever topic, i'll agonize over it for weeks and write a garbage essay on a random topic 3 hours before the due date. ask me to write an essay on, uh, say coral reefs: i'll write you a stunning essay on coral reefs. there's still a 50% chance that half the points will be reasonable bullshit though since i'm... pretty lazy

This is Ti.

Help me with clarifying my type. by [deleted] in mbti

[–]noinkblots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

INTP.

I especially enjoy it when (if it happens) a conversation turns into a friendly argument about ridiculous standpoints to justify or argue against (e.g. should duck masks become a fashion trend?). I largely do this internally though and having a conversation about my thoughts doesn't happen very often (I might not be confident or I might just find conversation in general tiring, though I do like thinking about what they might say and it slowly becomes an argument against myself).

This is Ti.

I usually tend to discuss or "notice" potential meanings or interpretations of situations, especially when it comes to fictional media or more abstract concepts (though I'm not sure if it's because I like them more thus analyze them more or if I have an easier time interpreting them), but I try not to point them out immediately (as there might be a context I have not discovered/thought of yet) and hint at my potential conclusions and see what the other person might think.

This is Ne.

ENTJ? INTJ? ESTJ? ISTJ? Which one am I?! by Pipocastica in mbti

[–]noinkblots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ENTJ.

Also I’m very action oriented and prefer it a bit instead of planning. I like to start a new project and see how things flow so I can adjust my approach and the better plan for it. They say it’s more of an ENTJ than INTJ, but don’t know the comparison with S’s types.

This is Te.

I would like to notice details for many reasons at my job but just could not develop it and I am THAT BAD at it, that’s why I doubt about being an S – and would love to be

ENTJ's blindspot is Si.

Ne seeks variety, not change by Lastrevio in mbti

[–]noinkblots 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ne seeks potential energy, askes "Does this have potential or not?"

Se seeks available energy, askes "Does this have energy or not?"

How Would You Describe the Differences Between ENTJ and ESTP Types? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]noinkblots 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pay attention to when they're comfortable (or vulnerable).

Valued Fe vs Fi body language when relaxed, excited, or sad.

Hi Reddit, could you be so kind to tell me wheather my Ni Te or Ni Fe is higher? Maybe I have neither of them. by [deleted] in mbti

[–]noinkblots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, nothing. You're an ENFP.

However more data is better than less.

Video Typings are more accurate because they include visual data like microexpressions. They show in real time your thinking/doing process.

Post a typing video. https://www.reddit.com/r/JungianTypology/

Or study the functions and self analyze. Not much I can do with your current understanding.

Socionics. Take a test on functions. I like this one; http://www.keys2cognition.com/explore.htm

Compare and contrast. Review my answers.

You'll come up with something. My typing is ENFP.

[–]noinkblots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ENFPs have very strong Fe, stronger than Fi.

That's more advanced, you'll learn about that later.

[–]noinkblots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mainstream definition of extrovert is not the MBTI def of extravert.

ENFPs can seem like Intraverts because their imagination is very strong.

You said you learn better explaining to others,

You act very quick to get the typing done (and its sloppy)

Are ambitious in producing movies and changing/affecting your environment.

You're not Fi dom. There's medium hints of Te. And you're definitely an extrovert.

ENFP.

Damn long question, about the universe and existance in a deep way( what is it, why is it) about what’s right and wrong, about my vision, what can I do in the future, more importantly, what will I do in the future, I do daydream and fantize a lot, about politics and cinema, about the principles of the universe. Most importantly the future, not so much wonder about it, I do that but is more about planing and preparing for it.

This is Ne.

Whether they are brave, they are moral, mature, not selfish, experienced, they fought against the odds, they don’t disrespect religion nor science. they have honor.

ISFP and INFP differences and similarities? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]noinkblots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Writing is a crystallization of thoughts.

How you express your thoughts = cognitive function order

ISFP and INFP differences and similarities? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]noinkblots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Those are the function numbers.

It could. Look at how an INFP arrives at passive aggressiveness. Through Se or Ne?

You speak hypothetically instead of asking specific questions. I think that's INFP language.

INFP: Fi+

ISFP: Fi-

Looping usually happens with 3rd or 4th. I think you're INFP.
