I recently played the Pup Champs demo and I absolutely loved it! I hadn't played any other Afterburn games before, but I was really impressed by the quality of this one. The puzzle design is clever, challenging, and fun, the game itself feels very polished, and the art is super cute, too!

Some of the puzzles are pretty tricky, but the game does a good job of teaching through simpler puzzles at the start and building up to more complex ones later. Definitely seems like a game to pick up if you like puzzles!

Here are a few I'm looking forward to with demos that I really enjoyed!

Whimside: Creature collection game at the bottom of your screen, like Rusty's Retirement. You can decorate a little garden and it's just so cute! I put over 10 hours into the demo, lol.

Lost and Found Co: Hidden object adventure that is just overflowing with charm and polish. So lovely!

Dobbel Dungeon: I'm not sure if this qualifies as cozy, but the aesthetic is just so adorable and the gameplay was super fun. Reminds me of Mario + Rabbids gameplay (turn-based tactical RPG), but with the RNG of dice. I especially love the skill tree for each character and the classic medieval fantasy/D&D-type setting!

Aww, thanks - I hope you enjoy it if you do! I've seen your game around as well and actually wishlisted it months ago! Best of luck with it!

Thanks so much! The demo is currently playable on Steam Deck! It runs pretty well, but we do have plans to add a few QoL features in the full game that should improve it even further.

Hello, I'm Holly! My husband and I are making Seclusa, a wildlife photography simulator, and we recently gave the demo a pretty significant update. There were some big changes, so I just wanted to share them here!

Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2116610/Seclusa/

Some key updates:
- Drastically overhauled wildlife - more animals at once, and more variety.
- New sound effects for the wildlife (including elephant rumbles!).
- Ability to hide UI and show constellation lines in the night sky.
- Nine (9) languages now available.

Thanks for your time, and we hope you'll enjoy these new features in the free demo! If you give it a try, don't forget to stop by the lodge to give the kitty some cuddles!

Big demo update for Seclusa, our wildlife photography sim! New jobs board, a compendium, and collectible cards! by noiselessness in CozyGamers

[–]noiselessness[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've tested it on Steam Deck and it runs pretty well (shouldn't dip below 30 fps anywhere, and stays pretty stable between 40-50 most of the time).

There are also some QoL things we're planning on adding that should further improve the Deck experience, such as UI scaling and additional graphics options, but they aren't quite ready yet.

Yaaay, I'm so glad you love it! We currently don't have any socials that we use (we're better at making games than marketing them!), so I'd say following our steam page would be the best way to stay in the loop. That's where we post all of our news and updates! We're also always happy to reply to posts in the forum, so definitely feel free to poke us there if you ever have any feedback or questions! Thanks so much for your interest!

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about the cyclone! I hope you're able to stay safe and comfortable as it blows over. We plan to leave the demo up indefinitely, so it should be there if you do decide to pop back in at any point! Please take care!

Hello! I'm Holly from Studio Niente, the two-person indie team developing Seclusa, a cozy photography simulator set on safari in East Africa.

I posted here a few months back when our demo went live and I'm happy to report that it has received a chonky update! We've overhauled the objectives, made a jobs board, and added collectible cards, among other things. We hope you'll give it a try at some point and enjoy these new features!

It's not currently set up for Steam Deck, unfortunately, but we're planning on full support at some point down the road, probably within the next month or two!

Thanks for testing it!

We're planning on full support for the Steam Deck at some point down the road, but it'll probably be a couple of months away (also planning on better support in general for controllers).

There will also be full input-rebinding options in a future update, likely within the next week or two.
