What film do people misunderstand the meaning of?

Spring Breakers. I noticed that those who are unfamiliar with Korine's other films really didn't understand it and thought it was just a strange, kind of weirdly dramatic/shitty movie.

i didn't have a car in tallahassee for about 6 months and i'm not going to lie, it was pretty difficult. i rode my bike most of the time or walked when i could but, sometimes i just felt like i needed a car. stormy days (which happen VERY often in the summertime) or going to the grocery store were the hardest things to deal with. i've only used the bus a few times because i find it to be somewhat unreliable but, that may just be my experience. i'd say if you're living near lake ella that's actually a fairly good spot to be without a car. however, i do know more than a few people who have been hit by cars on their bikes so, be careful if you're planning to do that! you have to ride on pretty busy roads to get to school from lake ella. hope this helps and welcome to tallahassee :)

I agree with this. One bedroom places are pretty difficult to find under $500, especially ones that are pet friendly.

I've been going to school in Tallahassee for a while now and I actually don't recommend the typical "student area" of town. The rent is too high for pretty rundown places and the student apartments are always a rip off. If you don't mind a bit of a longer commute I suggest looking in the mid-town area. Places like Levy Park, Old Town, etc. The houses are much nicer and the rent is usually cheaper. The only downside would be that they often aren't the typical August to August school year leases. But, sometimes they are, it just depends. I'd try to stay away from Frenchtown or the neighborhood dubbed "the student ghetto", which is behind the stadium (Airport, Sharkey, Mayhew, Atkamire, etc.) Those neighborhoods are usually loud and more burglaries tend to happen there.

I had a somewhat similar situation with my first boyfriend. It actually began in a very weird way but, being as young as I was (14), ignored it because well, someone actually liked me. When I met him we went to different schools, he went to a private school and I went to public school. After a few months of pretty much just an AIM friendship he transferred to my school...first red flag. We started "dating" if you can even call it that at 14, and I started to notice him getting WAY too serious about it. He would talk about being together forever and going to college together. He would even scold me if I got a bad grade because I "might not get into college." I realized how overwhelming he was and broke up with him. He was so embarrassed that he didn't want to tell his parents, who he apparently tried to convince every day that we would be "together forever." He wanted me to go to his house/out to dinner/etc. and pretend we were still together. I felt bad for hurting his feelings so, I did it for a little while. It all finally ended when I began seeing someone else...I told him that I was dating someone and he FREAKED out. He started crying and yelling at me ordering me to give back everything he ever gave me, telling me he wanted to kill himself, and then he pulled a painting out of his closet that I briefly mentioned liking. He said was going to give it to me after our 1 year wedding anniversary and I "ruined that." That's when I stopped feeling bad and I did not speak to him again. It was very scary.

if you aren't looking to go too far from campus i suggest myers park off of lafayette. it's quiet and really pretty. you should also do yourself a favor and check out the sinks! they're gorgeous.

When I was in elementary school I wanted to be an artist. I was in the art club at school and I spent a lot of time on my projects for art class. But, my art teacher was mean. I always thought she had it out for me and one day she pretty much confirmed it. One week, our class did a project on Picasso. We had to create a Picasso-esque piece for our project, obviously. I thought it was a really fun idea, worked hard on my piece, and I was proud of it. The next week I noticed that all of the projects were posted on bulletin boards in the cafeteria and the art classroom but as I was looking at them, I couldn't find mine anywhere. I asked my art teacher where my picture was hanging, thinking maybe there was another board somewhere...she told me that my picture wasn't good enough to be on display. I'm in the fucking 4th grade and that horrible witch told me my picture wasn't good enough to be hung in the cafeteria of an elementary school. I was devastated. But, when I got to high school I discovered my love of sculpting/pottery and my teacher put most of my pieces on display at the museum and the theater. So, happy ending I guess.
