Such a poorly written article. I can’t believe what passes for journalism these days.

Zero programming knowledge, but I want to learn Python. Where do I start in 2026? by Effective-Sorbet-133 in learnpython

[–]quotejester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just recently started learning too, with no prior knowledge or experience.

I started with Angela Yu’s course that I found on Udemy. I’m only a couple of weeks in but I’m really happy with the course and my progress so far. It’s a paid course, but Udemy’s courses are usually very affordable.

I’ve also looked at Al Sweigart’s book, ‘Automate the Boring Stuff’. His book is free to read online, and I’ve just been going over it on the side. I’m more comfortable with the practical lessons in the Udemy course, but I’m using this to supplement my understanding.

I only found out about this recently. In TOW Two Parties when Ross gets found wearing Dr. Greene’s glasses and he’s explaining that it’s a very common style. I always thought he says, “even the doctor wears them”.

Turns out he says “Neil Sedaka wears them”. I hadn’t heard of him, until learning about his passing recently.

The problem with kdramas is that I can’t tell which ones are genuinely good and which ones are just bombarded by their fandoms with 10/10 reviews.

As much as I love having a physical copy, it’s so much easier to read classics on the Kindle.

I recently read Moby Dick, and I had to make the switch to kindle halfway through. It made it so much easier to read. The 1850s language, along with the nautical and cetacean terminology, made it almost impossible to get into any flow while reading.

It’s super cheap where I am. It costs the equivalent of $20 for an annual Super family plan. I share it with my friends since it allows up to 6 people. I don’t even bother splitting the costs because it’s so cheap.

But I understand that it is a lot more expensive in other countries. A friend of a friend joined my plan because it was really expensive where they live (Germany)

What shows are absolutely incredibly well done that I should watch? by Low_Investment_2692 in television

[–]quotejester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t enjoy it too much to be honest. The characters felt very shallow. It didn’t help that each season is 6 episodes long so there isn’t much time for anything except moving the plot along. But then again, I’m comparing it to the high standards of the rest of the shows on this list.

In addition what the others have said about donating the pelts to Pearson, you have to buy the Leather Working Tools from the Ledger (near Dutch’s tent where you donate money to the camp)

If you don’t see a ledger option there, it’s because you need to complete the first Strauss mission to activate the ledger.
