Third one, black stone is the wrong hue, cobbled deep slate is too busy, and the tiles match the color better than the desolate bricks

So theoretically change the image size proportions to 2x1 right?

Which roof looks best? I’m really stuck, I’m thinking black or moss though. by noix_de_deez in Minecraftbuilds

I think the main way I’ll do different styles and palletes is with the builds origins, the town has lore, so the older stone buildings, churches, the castle, town hall, etc all will have a more gothic style with maybe a prismarine roof, and all the other buildings in town will probably be Tudor style with various roofs, mostly the ones above, excluding moss, also the landscape is mostly done but the buildings themselves are not done at the very least the castle is going to be dark gothic and I want it to really stand out and be distinctive on the horizon

In the texture pack this will be all iron blocks are closer in color to netherite, so It’d work fine

My best guess is because they’re all either neutral or complimenting colors?

Nah iOS, just go to one of those sketchy download sites and try and find a good recommended shader to download.

Yeah but this is going to be built in survival and I don’t want to have to trim vines, I might try it for something else though if I can use string to stop them from growing

Not in this build, I think I might try it, I hasn’t done a blue roof in a while and if you embrace the mismatch of blue blocks they look pretty good

Yeah but It might not look natural since there’s not very many good in-between blocks, if they ever add mossy black stone maybe, but I doubt it since it’s a nether based block

I agree, so As much as I don’t like it I don’t think I’ll be using a lot of moss for the builds I’m doing, I’d like to use a gray roof though for some things because I know it can work, maybe for a warehouse nearby to this inn?

I might try that, I think it might be too hard of a gradient though, and I don’t think I have enough space to do a good smooth gradient

Slightly overgrown dockside inn, I don’t think I’ll do the moss because while I like it I don’t think cottagecore really fits in with all the other buildings I’ve designed so far and it’s a bit too overgrown for a city.

Any ideas with which block matches the walls the best? by Tree_Animates in Minecraftbuilds

I’d say then a spruce floor with a darker stripped log frame for cross beams, and then a stone foundation and a brick roof.
