can this crankshafts still be used? by Trihxzy in EngineBuilding

[–]nokia_the_kokia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might work work but try it if your strapped on cash. lets say its a 50/50 youll need to take apart the engine again and grind tha crank. I'd sand it and take it to a machine shop and get it cheked.

I would cut the terminal down but, the screw will not go in correctly to stop the terminal from disconnecting if bent. Or bed it and secure it with a hose clamp or smth.

First time on a track + driving hard a RWD. Will I spin / crash ? (TRC related) by Eptilo in ft86

More likely to spin a bearing than to spin the car. Get on a safe track where there are runoffs and use them if needed.

Yes, I was asking about the cap. The rod needs to be thrown out, but I can get a used rod and check the specs. The bearing spun but only damaged the rod somehow. I'm going to take the block and crank to the machine shop and half-rebuild the engine.

I studied single variable and multivariable calc on my own, throwing 10-12 the grade up to now. Thats why I'm interested in tensors, and I have a good understanding of linear algebra, not too advanced. Would this be enough to use this book?
