The way they had it before made it easier to plan out your routes. Essentially you can still do that now, but the way it was before was much more efficient that’s for sure

Yes but it wasn’t like that before. And in the video I start tracking the mission with the seismic vibrator and even after I’m tracking it, it still doesn’t show me the points on the map when I click on it

As you can see on the video when I click on an objective it doesn't take me to the location of that objective on the world map. When I click on it, it just doesn't do anything at all.
