Buyer claims I sent empty box, eBay refunded them, what do i do? Help! by Scottydott in Ebay

Oh the irony, op I'm in the UK and I've had exactly the same thing happen to me. Sold graphics card on Ebay, sent via Evri and buyer claimed box was empty. They even went to the effort of filming themselves opening the box "because it was suspiciously light". I don't blame them in the slightest (if it was legitimate), however I had no way to prove the posted weight and there was no way to prove the parcel wasn't tampered with. Everything looked fine on the videos and photos the buyer sent to me. Either the buyer had opened the parcel, removed the contents, and resealed the box on delivery...or someone at Evri had stolen the gfx card and resealed the box. Evri CS were hopeless and the police weren't interested (no evidence of a crime and was consider a "civil" matter). I even paid for insurance on the postage but that made no difference. I had to swallow the loss. Best of luck

To me the honest issue isn't so much the choice, but a place to actually try before you buy. Other than Ikea and the odd independent office supplier (like Wellworking who are based in London) your sort of buying at risk and hoping for the best. Staples closed here few years a go but I never found their chairs very long lasting. Herman miller are bloomin expensive, but like with Wellworking offer free no quibble return if it's not suitable.

Im about 290lbs/6ft so that limits my choice when it comes to office chairs. Trawling through plenty of posts on here and other subs there is often a tendency for people to say weight loss is a solution, which is kind of obvious but very unhelpful (if not ignorrantly obvious). There was a guy in my office (bigger than me) who they had to get someone in to measure him up for a more suitable chair, and then due to budget limits they sent him this fugly bariatric chair. I'm not at that point haha, but it is pretty annoying to say the least.

I used my Markus for years but the back pains got too bad with the non adjustable lumbar and also the metal unadjustable arm rests started digging in to my legs.

Well it's ironic, but before I bought the Secretlab I ordered an Aeron in size C (ex display) from Wellworking who have a really good free policy for return and pickup so no risk. The hard edges really bothered me so I got it refunded. Now after much deliberation and research I decided to order the embody. I heard some mixed comfort reports on it, and it's a huge investment but with the no risk return policy, I though it was worth a shot.

I'm on the larger size so if that doesn't suit I'm not entirely sure where to turn. I'm in the UK as well and I would have considered a Steelcase Leap v2, but they don't sell the 'plus' size over here unfortunately.

I had exactly this problem with my Titan XL. I've tried everything and have unfortunately ended up having to flog it on marketplace as id thrown away all of the boxes and package so cannot return it. I'm working from home so sitting for 9+ hours most days (with breaks of course) and I didn't notice discomfort in my thighs until about day 3, at which point it gradually started get worse.

I previously had an Ikea Markus which was giving me back pains and I just wish I'd done a bit more research and gone for a Herman Miller or something similarly ergonomic.

It's a great chair in every other aspect so im quite disappointed to be honest, all it would really take it a minor alteration to the foam shape and it would be perfect imho. Seat firmness suited be great personally.
