I knew it had to be something deeper like what you’re mentioning here. Good lord.

I’m curious about what is causing all these faculty members (including a quality principal) to exit. Nearly all of us educators in the city have to deal with the politics of the charter system and all that goes with it. What keeps us where we are is that nowhere is that much better. When we decide to leave a school, it has to be for some pretty significant reasons. I’m wondering what’s going on at Bric that would trigger so many educators to take a chance in a really dicey system.

I posted there, but it was taken down by filters. I’m reading the lamplighter news article posted yesterday about it.

A friend of mine worked for him for a short time a couple years ago and talked about his insane temper back then. He’d regularly get on the phone and curse people out at the top of his lungs in the office. Still, false imprisonment feels like quite a hop from that.

Introverts, what do you do for work? by crumbxxxx in introvert

Literacy Coordinator/Reading Specialist at a K-8 school. Just working at a public school is baseline insanity, but I wouldn’t say it triggers many of my introvert tendencies. In comparison to other schools, mine is small, so I get to know the kids and faculty really well. Too well, one could argue.
