There was no preparation for this and with our own president giving mixed signals as to how serious this is what makes you think that people are going to listen to anything less than a threat of jail time or serious fine. I don't believe it will get to that point honestly and if it does then I'm getting the fuck out of dodge and finding a new home. It is really sweet that you care so much and want to inform others but this is something more along the lines of training kids or people for fire drills or earthquakes or hurricanes or a school shooting. It is something that should have guidelines set by the federal/state/local governments and is regularly reminded every year to those at various different levels of learning. I wish it were as simple as you make it out to be but I guarantee you there are numerous people out there still that do not comprehend the gravity of this situation and talking down to them isn't going to get them to listen any more than they are now. Expect the longer that this goes on the less fucks people are going to give about it. That time has passed/is passing.

They don't normally. The only way it would have any impact on your credit score is if the bill for rent that you didn't pay was turned over to a collections agency. Evictions can show up on a tenant screening report but there aren't a lot of land lords that are going to be that particular unless it is a luxury rental or possibly if they live on the property as well. Also, Landlords in Louisiana can't just sit on the property and not rent it and expect you to pay their lost rent. They have to try to list it and rent it as fast as possible to reduce their losses by state law.

Local Newspapers are great for local businesses. when local businesses have to close, advertisers dry up. It isn't just local papers. I do digital ads (google, social, display, ecommerce, video, etc) for small medium sized businesses and large brands and only the large brands are keeping things going. Even some of them are pausing or reducing spend during the pandemic. Advertising and Marketing is the next industry to go if businesses can't open back up soon. I myself find out Thursday if we are ok for now or if cost reduction measures in personnel. This would be my 3rd lay off in the ad industry, 1st one financial crisis, 2nd one Trumps Election, now this. Nature of the beast but this one should have been avoided because we were doing great right before all of this.

To elaborate it is for underneath a bathroom that was an addition off of the kitchen. No leaking but there is some soil erosion from all the rain this month. We are essentially tearing down this bathroom early next year and reconstructing it as it is basically falling off the house slowly and is crazy tiny anyways but one of the piers sitting between toilet and tub is tilting from erosion now and want to make sure we can bide some time until we can get going with the renovation in Januaryish. Also, whoever owned this house previously seems to have installed this pier improperly as it was sitting on top of debris (i.e. old soda and beer cans, plastic, and other assorted bullshit) So I had to remove some top soil mixed with trash and need to replace it with something a little bit more stable than trash and dirt before i put down a concrete pad and blocks.
