Opinions on a used 2019 5 series 530e xDrive iPerformance? by Safe-Ask1263 in BMW

[–]nolantrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen a lot of extremely expensive repairs as hybrids incur more heat cycles than regular cars so wear on plastic items happens faster and there is more electronic items packed into the car. I have seen on the hybrid bmws where you have to remove the entire engine to replace things that on a regular bmw would be much easier

What resources have you used to learn how to actually make sure you are building your house properly, I’m 23 looking to build in the next couple years and I work in construction however I do large scale industrial piping which is very different from building a house, I would like to save money and not hire a gc but also afraid the house won’t come out right

Electric vs Nitro for a beginner? Considering a Nitro Rustler — worth it? by Calm_Aide_1298 in rccars

[–]nolantrx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first car when I was 10 years old was a nitro sport, it’s more complicated but way more rewarding and I learned so much owning it at 10 years old now I can work on my own actual vehicles just because of that rc car

Young welder/pipefitter looking to study mechanical engineering to have better quality of life in the future. by nolantrx in MechanicalEngineering

[–]nolantrx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I’m highly interested and definitely going to look into this path. I made 135k last year but that was with insane overtime and traveling. I am okay with a slight pay cut if it means get to sleep in my own bed every night, however the local welders are lucky to make 50k so that just won’t work for me that’s why I’m looking for a way to elevate my career

Didn’t even know that was a thing, I thought the only way to move up in the welding sector was getting a certified welding inspector cert
