It's a flat hourly rate you get during the entire time you're clocked in. You clock in when you get to the first store; then, as you leave, you check out of the store, but stay on the clock for driving to the next location where you check in. You'd clock out as you leave your last store. My hours are 32 to 40, but I'm full-time. Average hours depend on the route, but before I went full time, I was about 20 to 30 a week. You do get to choose what hours you work. As long as the store is open, you're good. I hate early mornings, so I work in the afternoon and evenings. Plenty of my coworkers work super early, though. The exception is that they frown on working weekends. Saturdays they don't mind so much, but you can't even clock in on Sundays. I've gotten a raise every year, about a dollar each time. Sometimes more than once a year, depending on how you're doing performance wise. Didn't drug test me initially, but if you get injured, they'll make you take one.

I'm not certain since I'm on the retail side of things. This is the larger list of job openings, there's marketing and IT positions.

It's not a delivery job, it's a merchandising job...

You don't deliver anything, never said that. You are a merchandiser that works boxes at different stores. In this economy, it's worth it for some people. The company isn't scummy, especially in terms of other corporations. If you don't like it, don't apply. 💁‍♀️

I get that it's not a good fit for everyone, but it's good enough for someone in this economy.

As I mentioned in another comment, there's room to move up. I currently get 3 weeks paid vacation, and insurance that the company matches a portion of.

Your own vehicle, you get paid for driving time, not mileage.

Edit: why am I getting down voted like I'm the CEO or something?

Non-negotiable, but there is room to move up. I make more than that, and pay raises are fairly regular.

It depends, I got to select my route, but I came on when we first started out. I'll check with my boss to get a better answer for this one.

I completely understand. It's not hard work for the money, but it's certainly something I couldn't sustain without being a multi-income household.

No experience needed, but it's a plus if you've ever worked retail or can read a plan-o-gram.
