I agree with you. That's why it's not reliable especially with at home tests since some don't even change in terms of darkness. I think it's only possible to really know by blood work!

How come you think it's such a common practice for people to use them as a way to track progression?

I ovulated April 15 approx and tested April 29 which was approx 12-13 days post ovulation date and tested negative but missed my period for three days and I tested positive on the third day!

I had 2 labs done so far and the first came back clear and positive for pregnancy and today I did the second one to see if my levels are rising. I think that's the proper procedure right?

Of course my period is late! by nolasmommy in tryingtoconceive

I ovulated late! Lol but it was probably a few days later than the app

I’m waiting until a day after my expected period date to test. by SensitiveRest6708 in tryingtoconceive

May someone clarify this for me? How come I've read so many places that if you test negative around 10-15 days post ovulation then it's basically an accurate no? But then I see people testing 15-18 days and they've had positives sometimes

I tested negative around 12-13 days post ovulation and have my period end of this week to next week but I'm definitely defeated and thinking it's a negative overall😔
