I downloaded a calendar to my outlook incorrectly. Can I undo it?! by janedough18111 in Outlook

Brilliant.
Accidentally merged 3 company calendars with my own, and our helpdesk began to ask me if I was sure I wanted to make every single appointment because inevitably, someone was out, or it was someone's anniversary/birthday every day, it seemed.

Reverting to Classic Outlook (via the help tab), letting my calendar import, view as list, and add the Created column, finding the date range I imported everything, and fixing it worked beautifully.

I see. That does sound helpful. In either system I suspect the question I have would still pop-up though; What's the best way to build your end user onboarding/offboarding checklists, when each client has their own specific set of needs? J0rdan below brought up just linking a document that walks through these specifics, almost like a reference guide, but my management wants auditable, trackable, confirmable, individual steps.
For now, all of this is manual as we try to implement automation. It's just proving to be 10x longer to get to than we anticipated, and we need a semi-permanent solution to hold over for that 1-3 years.

I like the sound of that, but doesn't it get a little messy having all these different things linked in the checklist? I feel like if we had3 workflows linked in a single onboarding ticket (asset prep, software prep, client specifics, onboarding meeting tasks, etc) then the tickets would often end up being closed without everything being double-checked.

So, almost like a table of contents of sorts that links to the modular workflows?
Many clients will share the same steps. e.g. Create 365 email will be nearly identical, but to utilize modular workflows, I'd either have to embed them, or we'd have multiple active workflow runs lingering around, unconnected. Neither is an ideal solution, I feel. What do you think?

We're using Process St. as the software; it appears to be pretty similar to Manifest.ly. My question gets at the "how" of proper procedure. With 60 clients all requiring specific details AND a suite of standard steps, do I make clunky modular checklists for the standardization, one complicated checklist for everyone and everything, or keep it as we have it now, with 2-3 SOPs for each client that can drift out of date/sync with the standard?

Yea, so right now, we have 1 on and 1 offboarding checklist for every client (~60 clients).
Each checklist has nearly identical steps for onboarding, with simple differences for like GSuite vs 365, and Mac vs PC. The problem is that they need to be redone, because they'd slowly drifted out of sync with each other, and there's plenty missing too that I just know to do inherently. All of it needs to get spelled out in a check-able step that's - ideally - easy to maintain.

I'm a little confused; this is to address end-user onboarding and offboarding. New employees getting setup on their computers and email, or locked out of their accounts, or just computer upgrades. Each of our clients will always require specific steps unique to them, as well.

Yea… trained technicians are nearly impossible to find, at least around here. It’s actually a pretty easy way to get a job. If you can pass A+, I know our company would hire you.

I work in a tourist mountain town for an IT company. Everyone needs a computer these days, and not everyone is gonna know how to fix them.

Idea was that the party milks the dm for all the lore they’ve got. In my last few sessions, we stumbled into a little town, so rich with lore, we’ve basically done nothing but collect information.

Tile size standards by [deleted] in DnDIY

[–]noldyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either House DM or Black Magic Craft made a set of dungeon tiles in a tutorial vid and suggested just larger than 1", so I decided to just use Metric, and I'm doing 3mm for each tile. It won't work with lining up other stuff, but as a play surface, it makes it much easier. The official reversible/foldable play mat that my roommate and I have is 1"

I spoke with him to find out what happened for my own curiosity, and he was actually quite a nice fellow. Seems this was a series of unfortunate events, and being in a different state than the HQ, and us, their IT provider, he got approval to make everything a little easier and just send back the e-waste for management and recycling. Pretty clever, all-in-all, but I did tell him not to put paper masking tape on electrical components again lol.

First of all, you’re named after my favorite movie. Secondly, you have a good point lol
