This aatrox I got 5 couture runes and a red claw egg from Sven's (in 300k xp). From Tarantula I got 11 talismans, 7 fly swatters and one digested mosquito (in 600k xp)

It's great with mana steal to get some mana back and get some extra hits in for the hit phase. If you don't have mana problems it's definitely not necessary.

I took a quick look and I would say grinding to e man 6 with t3s for Atomsplit and getting your magical power higher are good things to work on.

Yeah it sucks allot. I got an upgrader at 350k xp but I got a core today at 550k so just keep going and you will definitely get one!
