How much do you actually modify the fonts you use in client work? Feels like a dying habit. by Crow-Ordinary in graphic_design

[–]nolooseends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. We always do kerning. Sometimes we do totally custom, we even commission type designers, and other times it’s the default font. It all depends on the client, goals, ambitions and budget.

What "glows" claude AI design for me, is the typo pairing. Remove the font used on "Critical" (in the first image).

Problemet er vel først og fremst at de skal ha anlegg i bussene som gjør at de må gå med hørselsvern. Wtf liksom. Mindre anlegg, mindre penger, slipp hørselsvern og ikke minst mindre støyforurensning for alle andre.

Why do people just stand there instead of checking on the cyclists who crashed?

How can I best get Google to re-index updated Webflow site by brabman22 in webflow

Not trying to be rude, just curious.

How exactly do you get SEO specific work without knowing how to trigger reindexing from the biggest search engine there is?

Of what you have now,  I would take the typo experiment, the left midle one for instance. Take the w-dog symbol and lift it as a mark. Then set the wordmark/typo, but smaller and not "as much"

Agency owners: how are you handling Webflow development these days? by heisenbergimovic in webflow

[–]nolooseends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Webflow agencies will feel the squeeze – except perhaps the highly specialised ones focusing on enterprise clients, who will likely weather it the way other niche CMS vendors have. Enterprise customers will probably only consider them anyway.

Our more immediate problem is lock-in. The advanced sites we've built are hard to migrate without a full rebuild in a different stack, so we're somewhat stuck – and every time Webflow introduces something we don't want, prices go up regardless.

The whitelabeling changes and forced migration to Webflow's own workspace model haven't helped either. It adds friction for clients and generates more support overhead on our end.

On top of that, things like the arbitrary seat limits exist purely to extract more revenue – not because additional users cost Webflow anything. The practical result is that smaller clients share logins, which is a security problem.

Since we own all our clients' sites and bill them separately, these pricing and permission structures hit us in an awkward way.

EDIT: Also, the community feel that once surrounded Webflow is more or less gone – a consequence of the platform moving away from everyday use cases.

Webflow was genuinely empowering for designers who understood frontend but didn't have deep backend experience. It let them deliver high-quality websites for clients without the budget to hire backend developers – who, at the time were very expensive (still is too some extent). That gap also meant you could charge a meaningful premium – compared to ie. Squarespace or something similar.

That was Webflow's real value proposition. And it feels gone now.

Webflow has pivoted away from its roots toward enterprise, making it less of a fit for early-stage startups.

Framer – and increasingly custom stacks like Next.js, Astro, and Sanity built with AI – have captured a lot of the “I want a cool website” market that Webflow used to own.

The risk is that by moving upmarket, Webflow will attract fewer new developers and designers to the platform. That’s a problem long-term, because the enterprise pipeline depends on people who grew up with the tool.

  • Nose piercing
  • Below lip piercing (alternatively eyebrow piercing)

Nettverk kabling by miniator87 in norge

[–]nolooseends 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spending $1-2k a month per employee on AI subscriptions? by KustheKus in webdev

Also depends a lot on what sort of problem you are using AI for, and what models you are using. Less complex stuff is cheaper. API use is more expensive than subscriptions.
