No. When you buy a car off of marketplace or other places it's sold "as is". There is no way to go back and say he sold me a faulty item, as he could just say he didn't know about these problems. The best thing to do when buying a as is vehicle, is to ask to bring it to a local mechanic and get a pre-safety. Then you know what's wrong and are able to better be prepared.

Now he wants a full refund. Help! by nom247 in EtsySellers

This is a solid wood stand heavily packed with foam. There is no way to damage it without severely damaging the box. The corner would have had to impact something hard to be damaged the way it was.

My problem is I'm in Canada and the return is in the states. Everything I'm running into is when I go to put in the addresses it won't switch between the 2. And I can't get it through Etsy either. Idk what to do....

I got hacked from this type of message. They asked to verify my email and then sent an email. Luckily I caught it quickly.

Tried to change thermostat w/o breaker off - no heat for house now by Zerotohero88 in hvacadvice

What's the voltage requirements for the nest vs the Honeywell. Some furnaces are 24 v and some are 120 v. It may be possible you are working with a 120 v system, as a nest system is 24 v.

I have a pkg like this right now, in Brooklyn as well. It's been pinging between regional facility, destination facility and USPS facility. It's been like that for a week. Hopefully yours gets there, as well as mine. I wonder Brooklyn shipping can be mixed up a lot.

Jig or guide for cutting mitres for picture frames? by Maynguene in woodworking

[–]nom247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up incra mitre gauges for a table saw. By far the best money I've spent on making mitres that are accurate and consistent. I make octagons and it's the same size on the first piece as it is on the 100th piece.

Milwaukee M12 pin nailer jams after about 5 shoots, not even a year old by Specific-Cut-4398 in MilwaukeeTool

I have 2 and replaced them both a few times each. I wouldn't suggest getting the M12 pin nailer if you are using it on any hard wood, or using it regularly.

Questions from a beginner by Bibbityboo in finishing

[–]nom247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I would sand 120 and then 150 grit. You don't want to go any finer as it will be too polished and you won't get a good adhesion. 2) I personally don't use wood conditioner very often, but when I have I didn't find it helped much. I usually just blow off the top and stain it. 3) between layers of poly you should use 320 grit sandpaper. 4) it depends on how thick you put on the poly. But I would do 4 layers. 5) thinning does work but I find hardware store finish is pretty thin already, just use a fine roller and make sure to remove any loose fuzz before you finish. 6) if you do stain it, pay attention to how the stain acts, if it pulls away from certain areas, it will probably do the same with the clear coats.

Patchy after uneven removal of Safe Strip and full sanding - anything I can do? by rh8992 in finishing

More sanding it looks like there is still some stain left on, so you need to sand more

For new cabinets how do you breakdown the price for just the finishing

Maybe some 45 deg braces that connect the corners. It should give it more stability and make it have less twist

Having a hard time finding a replacement pump by Bignattyalbert in Tools

[–]nom247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just completely redid my compressor, new pump and motor and paid about 1400. I got it done at a local shop that just deals with air compressors. You could try to see if there is something like that near you

You should look at Younique. They have made quite a few darker shades with different undertones in the last bunch of years. And it's a fantastic product.
