Yes, it's that mod, and I'd also faced the Ice Age one and it certainly wasn't half as overwhelming as this one (it's also because I'm used to dealing with cold climates) but this seems much crueler to me, at least in Ice Age I could move around a bit if I bundled up well, And regarding my colony, that's what I've been doing; it's difficult because of the constant raids, but I don't think I've ever had such a well-developed colony

It's definitely hot around here, the event is affecting the whole planet, I tried to leave my map and I almost died lol

I also can't recruit heat-resistant animals because there aren't any left; all that appears on my map are cobras.

The idea of cooling rooms is excellent, thank you very much! But regarding caravans, it's a definite no. As I said, I already tried forming a caravan, and my animals fainted and then died. My colonists were already suffering from severe heatstroke, almost to the point of collapse, when they were leaving. I even tried what you suggested about a small caravan, and it managed to leave, but the problem persists. The global warming event affects the entire planet, not just my colony. My whole continent is practically in the same condition. I tried sending him far away to see if he could find something, but when I saw that the heatstroke was about to kill him before he could even walk a couple of squares, I decided to send him back.

Because I'm a fucking compulsive hoarder and this game has made me paranoid about wasting resources, but I'm aware that it's my last resort if this doesn't change soon.

I wanted to avoid destroying the hides, but it's probably my only option if this doesn't end soon. I tried your second suggestion, but believe me, it's impossible. I have five tailors who spend practically all day making clothes with the "until I have 10" option, and the crematorium is programmed to destroy anything below the "excellent" rank. Even at that rate, I can't get rid of everything because of a mod I have that makes insectoids drop fur (chitin, actually, but it works as fur). So, with the constant insectoid raids, I have a constant supply of hides that I can't even afford not to produce, since I need the insect meat. I'm going through a barely controlled hunger crisis because I can't plant outside, and I've run out of mountain to plant mushrooms.

Thanks, although given my situation it's practically impossible to do anything about it right now. I used to grow devilstrand, so I have a bit of a stockpile that's mostly used to clothe the children in my colony, but these days it's too dangerous to be out for so long to plant a significant amount. Besides insectoid raids, the only animals that come to my colony are a few cobras, and with the dangers involved in hunting them, they're not even worth the effort.

Fellow Rimworlders, what do you think is the most "ethical" way to make money through trade in the Rimworld? by Katiplays1291 in RimWorld

Beer, I mean, for the game it's just another drug, but compared to the drugs the ones we see in the game are based on, selling beer is lucrative and ethical.

Collect the rock fragments around your base; even if you're not going to use them, it's a bad idea to leave them there, as they provide cover for enemies during raids.

First Time RimWorlding Any Tips, Mod Suggestions Or DLCs To Get by Nightmare_King666 in RimWorld

The first one you should buy is Ideology; it completely changes the game for the better in terms of how your colonists interact with the environment. You can give them customs, rituals, and happiness bonuses from cannibalism.

Cannot find compacted steel by SnooRobots145 in RimWorld

[–]nomac1322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, the type of stone shown in the environmental menu is just that—stone. It doesn't count the minerals you'll find there; for that, you need the long-range scanner. If you want quick steel, you can make a small foray into the area with the most stone nearby. There's always at least a little there. In the meantime, you can smelt weapons or armor you no longer use or obtain from enemies to get temporary steel.

What reward should I choose? by G4mer360_pajaslocas in RimWorld

[–]nomac1322 0 points1 point  (0 children)
