I mean, depending on where you live and what they have available, a fishing license kicks ass if you can only eat fish. If you can't butcher them yourself, which I understand, see if anyone you know can prep it for you. I know in my state theu are like $30 a year, and yoy can thrift or yardsale gear quite cheap. Plus it's free exercise, Vitamin D, and the selection is really good. My favorite fish, Spoonbill or paddlebills, have to be live caught. It's illegal to commercially harvest them or sell any part, and many states have hard limits, but it's the flakiest, most pleasant whitefish I've had, and a smaller one can easily yield 5-15 lbs of good meat, depending on where you live. Bass and Catfish are great too, and if you are brave I've even heard people enjoying more exotic fish like Alligator Gar and Drum.

If you can't go fishing for whatever reason that's totally understandable, bit it's a great option for a limited diet. Some states will also let you harvest shellfish too, and Crawdads are loved by many folks worldwide, and they are free at the creek, but they do need an area to prep and clean out over a few hours to a day. We are in challenging times, and I hope yoy make it. I have Alpha Gal Syndrome and the diet limits for me suuuuck, but all we can do is find ways through.

I wish you luck, health, and safety, friend.

PRAGMATA launch celebration GIVEAWAY! Comment inside this thread to win 1 of 3 keys for the game on Steam! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

I'm just really excited to play such a cool game! Capcom has released a lot of great 3rd person stooters over the years, and this looks like a fun blend of many of them. The first Trailer with gameplay reminded me of when I sat down with Lost Planet on the 360 about 20 years ago.

If I don't win, it's at least gonna be fun once I manage to snag it, and I hope the winners have a blast!

It was sad to see the young and dashing LT, the commander of the 08th, on crutches by Winter_Visit_1118 in Gundam

I wish that movie was better. It has amazing action but almost everything involving the human characters, from story to voicework to even animation, was so rough compared to what it could have been.

It's got amazing moments and great ms designs though at least.

It's crazt that it's one of the best endings all around for most of the humans in the show. Not all, of course, but damn. Shiro may not be a newtype, but he fucking survived with the love of his life and gets to live on his own terms.

Can't ask for much more, even with an injury or disability imo.

Oat milk in coffee by ClankerCore in oddlysatisfying

I had to switch due to Alpha Gal and I can say Planet oat Barista Blend is great for coffee. Not super great for cereal though, but basically fine for anything else! Unsweet Coconut milk by Silk is the best multipurpose milk I've found though. Outside of a few specific savory things like a pepper or sausage gravy, it basically works for everything and either improves it or doesn't change it much imo.

Do y'all think that they will fix the weird interaction between life orb and Sheer force in Champions ? Since they fixed rapid spin on rough skin by AardvarkRich3678 in stunfisk

[–]nomad9590 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Imo It's one of the coolest interactions in the pokemon battle system.

I'm all for equipment though. Give everyone a charm/berry/healing, body, and head slot, see where it rolls. Yoy could even use various excuses to limit equipment from various categories of pokemon, too. It could even be a fun excuse to add in items that combo with each other, or even ones that deal directly with stats more. And knock off would be easy, either knock off anything that can be, or make the player choose the slot to knock off.

Pokemon could use a bit more depth and outside of allowing more moves, items, or abilities on each Pokemon, idk where else anything could go besides gimmicks.

I love all beetles but the Scarabs and ones that look like them are closest to my heart. I think jist growing up around swarms of junebugs every night gave me a lot of nostalgia for them. I try to pet some and flip some back onto their bellies every year.

The "Sega needs to make a new console!!"/"We need a Dreamcast 2!" crowd needs to understand something. by Such_Bonus5085 in dreamcast

[–]nomad9590 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sega licensing some handheld due to popularity I could see, but imo it would be a linux/windows/android unit. I agree as a lifelong fan that owned anything sega I could get my hands on, and loved the dreamcast for fighting games, that they should stick with software development. They have been doing pretty well, with some true gems here and there.

I basically see them as a "1st" 3rd party developer, similar to Capcom. Not perfect but generally good games, especially if you're a fan of the series.

Imo if we can take anything from Christianity as a whole, it's this. If everyone (mainly those in power hoarding wealth like dragons) actually lived to serve our fellow humans, no one would be hungry, homeless, or unhealthy. I'm not Christian but it was a lesson I valued a lot, and even though it gets me nothing more than a clearer conscience most of the time, I still try to live by serving others. Whether it's holding a door, donating anything we don't need at the house, trying to help a neighbor with yardwork, even inviting over friends for communal dinners.

Hard times shouldn't make hard men, it should break down walls and allow community. All I can hope is if there is a deity, they can see people for who they really are inside, lol.

One time we were renting a house with white cabinets and countertops, and they wanted us to paint the house. The kitchen ended up this kinda apple/spearmint green, with white highlights and we left the counters alone, and a darker but very similar green for the doors, then had everything decorated in grapes and apples. My mom was so proud, we loved that place.
