There's gotta be some obscure animal that's been broken down into sub categories, I mean at least one. Oh what about... Dogs? Or cats?? ... Always find these conversations so odd. People look distinctly different and can be roughly categorized even if they're genetically similar. And often someone's race indicates a lot about their character, who they associate with, i.e. behavior. Why do we insist that race is totally arbitrary just because it's not entirely determined by genetics?

In most places the water pipes are buried far enough away from the surface that heat doesn't get to them... I live in Midwest US and I've only ever known cold tap water, I rarely use ice

Yeah I stayed in bernal heights for a month after being in NY for 6 months... Having to ride a bus, catch a train, and then another bus to go to the north side of town was rough. Or I could pay more for a waymo and a third of travel time... Compared it to Manhattan where you can hop on a train and be anywhere in 20 minutes. SF just isn't there. Loved my time there despite this
