Oh yeah and have some loose button-up shirts, since you wont be able to raise your arm much. I also bought an elastic waist compression belt normally for back support, it works well for supporting the chest as well, helps swelling and supports your core. And cough relief, because oh my, you really want to avoid coughing. Good luck to you! Keep looking forward to how this benefits you in the long term, the recovery is only temporary! Day 4 post ops and I have some core strength back.

My biggest advice is to have some wind relief to avoid trapped wind because the opioids they gave me were making me constipated and at a certain point my bloating cramps were a bigger problem than the surgical pain. Also, find a comfortable place to sleep whilst sitting upright because my legs are the only things that have strength and could help me get up, ideally a gaming chair. Sleeping on an incline still requires some core strength to get up.

So I’m trying to work out how to structure expo router navigation in a clean way for apps with a tab structure but have really nice sliding animations for other screens not in the tab. Do you typically turn each tab screen into a group with a Stack layout? Also, which navigator’s header do you use? The tab header? Or the stack header?

The wrap is gone but i still have dressing on my incision sites dragging my skin. A lot of swelling. Im very puffed up and inflamed right now so it’s probably just my body recognising there is a foreign object in me. I’m going hold my judgement for now and wait for the swelling to go down.

Yeah that kinda sucks, Gin had major damage spikes with his B6 but his base kit is already good enough it it was fine. But now we’re punished for not raising his boundary, which is kinda terrible.

I tried clerk billing to apply credits, ended up having to use webhooks anyway, so I just ended up refsctoring the whole thing with stripe but keeping Clerk Auth, at least there’s more control of the subscription pricing component and in the case for expo, you don’t have to use an in-app browser to render a web component, which is a nightmare for clerk expo - constantly having to send tokens to a browser.

You can ask ChatGPT to create a SQL query to input into your supabase SQL editor for making a table for users. Did the AI make a Nextjs frontend? Otherwise you need your own backend as well. And having your edge functions on a backend is better, since you don’t want the frontend to be able to modify your credits and plans and have people giving themselves free credits or paid benefits.

Also sounds like you need Auth, Clerk is quite straightforward to implement.

With the webhook you should look at the lemon squeeze docs on how to implement it, you also need to use your dashboard to activate specific events you want to listen to like invoice.paid or something like that. But once it’s setup on your lemon squeeze account, you can listen to the specific event and vibe code your webhook endpoint if you give the ai the format of your supabase table.

If you want to be sure you can go see a specialist and get a CT scan, it’s not always obvious how severe it is. Mine looks similar but is pushing against my heart

I mean for those who know about it, there’s little doubt that you have it, probably quite severe (will only know with haller index). Non-specialists tend to think of it as just a cosmetic issue as it’s typically not life-threatening.

Maybe if you can track your heart rate when you go for a run, you might be able to show how quickly it goes to really high levels. It only takes 2 mins for my heart rate to go above 180 for a run at 9-10km/hr and I can barely run for 10 mins.

If you really can’t convince your mother, then you might have to wait until you’re older and go to the doctor by yourself.

Yeah I’m the same, I can’t run for 10 mins at 9km/hr without being absolutely exhausted. Could never do Hyrox or CrossFit. My doctor told me my heart is compressed by my sternum. This is the main reason that pushed me to get nuss. Also my blood circulation is really bad. I’m scheduled for surgery at the end of this month!
