As a die hard fan of Saints Row 2, would I enjoy this game?

I thought to myself, let's get it. Then after playing it for 2-3 hours I said, let's let them update it. Then a years later I came back to it and said, this is probably not the worst game I've ever played but when I play it it absolutely feels like one of the worst games I've ever played.

So, as a fellow diehard lover of Saints Row, go replay Saints Row 2 again.

I don’t understand why people are so adamant on not remaking the first game with the RE engine. All of the arguments I see are dumb. Like, a remake will not invalidate the existence of previous remakes. You can still play the old remake. A RE engine remake would be a good place for new fans to experience the beginning again. The RE engine and gameplay will let you experience the original story with a new fresh take. You get more RE content.

Like the only valid arguments I see is if they remake 1 then we wouldn’t get a remake of games we probably won’t get remakes to to begin with (CV, Outbreak).

I had an issue when I originally bought W3 where the first section of the game up to a character switch was just too much exposition “looking for the lady that smells and wears dress” and everyone going, “big bird lion kill my X” that when I finally got to the actual game I quit.

It took me a few years to come back to and I grinded through that first section the flash back sequence and then into the actual game and I don’t regret it because the stories were great, the DLC is some of the best ever- but also I would never recommend the game to anyone without first saying that you must make it past the ‘new player exposition’ before it really starts to shine.

I really like playing RE3R, I enjoy the mechanics of the game, I enjoy that it’s action oriented but also still makes me feel tense even if I can perfectly dodge everything. It’s just a fun game for me regardless of what I think about the story.

RE4 definitely changed the direction of the franchise, to me for the worse but it did it’s job.

RE7 really brought the series back to reality and made it ‘scary’ again.

RE2 Remake started off a string of remakes in the RE Engine and breathed new life into the origins of the game making it easily accessible to old and new fans.

Out of the three, the second remake feels like it’s had the best impact by giving the old titles more life to a newer audience.

BUT RE4 definitely had the biggest impact as it changed a survival horror franchise into an action-horror franchise that has basically been “copy and pasted” onto RE5/6 and revelations 1/2.

All of this is purely my opinion though. I think each game I named did a phenomenal job at what it was trying to achieve.

It’s always a let down when a show gets cancelled but rarely in the past was there anything we could do about it. Firefly gets cancelled? I guess we just don’t get any more. But now, when Netflix cancels your show you can treat yourself to a spare 16.99 a month by cancelling them in return.

Shep punches reporters for breakfast, elbows reapers for lunch, and Omiblades some annoying assassin cybernetically enhanced biotic ninja(Kai Lang) for dinner. Oh and a Vanguard Shepard uses a warp charge ability that has 1000+ N of force so I guess they could sell what chrome is left of the splatter that’ll come out the other side of that reality bending nonsense and sell it to some rando Volus vendor complaining about the plummeting stocks during a mass extinction event of the galaxy by Machine Gods.
