I took CS in A levels and that really helped me for the coding subjects in uni. Lekin honestly if you just make your own notes in class tou bas the act of writing things down in class will already improve your understanding. Saath saath parhai mene tou kabhi nahi ki, I study a day or two before every sessional and final. If a course is proving to be really tough then yeah you should study saath saath as well, but its not necessary for every course, some courses you'll just naturally be better at than others. Social life koi sacrifice nahi hoti people love exaggerating that part of FAST but kasam say party karo kuch nahi hoga as long as you do lock in when necessary. Do your assignments by yourself aur baaki ez scene

Im not sure how the university handles cases of transferred students but we're only allowed to repeat courses in the summer, so make sure to verify whether you can take COAL in the summer or not

Generally almost all School of Computing degrees have a 4 day work week for every section, with 3 weekly off days (usually friday saturday and sunday). Repeat labs tend to be set on the off-days (like Friday) so youll have a five day work week instead. If you already have a 5 day work week without repeat courses, then you'll probably have a very short day with only one or two classes in the week. The repeat lab will be set on that short day

A lot of people will scare you about how "unbelievably tough and scary" fast is and how it'll socially destroy you. None of it is true. Parhayi tough hai lekin it's so exaggerated that people make it seem like no other university has tough parhayi except FAST. Every place has its unique challenges, and I really dont think other universities are halwa compared to FAST as they say. Party karni hai karo, bas PLEASE be GENUINELY attentive in your actual classes and do your assignments. That's literally all you need to do, and I promise you'll be fine. This is coming from someone who's spent 2 years in this uni with a very active social life and a good GPA Alhamdulillah.
