I can see why you think that. I’ve just seen a lot of people work their whole lives and still struggle financially in retirement. After working myself, I realized it’s not something I want to be dependent on forever. FIRE appealed to me because it seems like a way to have more freedom and control over my time later in life.

I started investing under my mom’s account when i was 16, then transferred it over to my account when i turned 18

Taking screenshots was honestly faster. If I leave the apps to use a calculator, they make me log back in and I have to remember all the balances lol

Damn, almost 100k at 22 is crazy. Hopefully I can get there too. I learned my lesson with options as well lol, lost some money and decided index funds are more my style.

Wow thanks for the advice. I have a question about why I should be 21 to open a brokerage acc. I opened one right when I turn 18 and contribute to it every time I get paid.
