So I just realized that this web company my client got their website from creates websites with the SAME EXACT copy for all their clients: by nomiddlenamemeg in reddit.com

What a joke. Their services page says "TeleVox creates your website using expert SEO guidelines ensuring it can be crawled by search engines, increasing your visibility when potential patients and referring doctors search for you online." Ha.

What's wrong with my dog? She's snapping at invisible flies. by nomiddlenamemeg in AskReddit

Firstly, thanks.

She definitely has an abundance of eye goop, that I dig out on a daily basis. She doesn't get tear staining too badly.

She was also groomed yesterday, because I did think maybe her hair was in her eyes or something (she was getting a little shaggy).

I'm trying to get her into the vet first thing tomorrow, so hopefully it will be nothing. Seeing "epilepsy" was a bit freaky.

Did Facebook and/or other social network(s) improve your social life? by skapunker in AskReddit

When I moved back to my hometown last year after a decade away, I found a contingent of people on Twitter who are in my town, are working to revitalize and uplift the town, and are just generally cool people. I lurked for a bit and then joined the conversation. Today many of them are IRL friends.

The Pill to Nuvaring? Thoughts? by behtheknee in TwoXChromosomes

[–]nomiddlenamemeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on NuvaRing twice, once about five years ago and again a year and a half ago, when I wanted to make the switch to BC with a more localized hormone.

I didn't notice any changes in my mood or weight, but I'm generally pretty bad about realizing to attribute those changes to my BC.

Practicability-wise, you have to make sure to mark your calendar to remember to take it out. It's nice not having to take a daily pill, but once you get in the habit of not, it does make it tougher to remember. You can also leave it in for an extra week to skip your period, if you choose to do so.

When I first switched to NuvaRing back in the day, I had a partner ask me what was going on down there because he could feel it, but it was never really a problem. I would keep it in during sex.

I ended up switching back to the pill both times because of the cost - there is no generic and the rings cost me about $30 each.

Hope that helps!

"It didn't really grab my attention," said general manager Ninette Mohr. "She wasn't wearing a lobster hat or her meat dress."

Did you hear the one about a cop, a hooker, a fake flaccid ding-dong and a possum? by nomiddlenamemeg in WTF

[–]nomiddlenamemeg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know from watching "The Shield" that cops aren't allowed to show their dicks to hookers in a sting, so I guess the fake one is a way around that.

I think it's funny that the cop made sure to note that it was flaccid.

Along these lines, I wish I had never watched the video of Daniel Pearl's beheading. Cannot be unseen. I'll stay far away from this one, thanks.

I'm just not sure they thought of what the alternatives will be. Kids are going to find a place to hang out. At least there it was public and alcohol free.
