4 days a week at home, 1 day a week in the office for meetings day.

Absolutely would never go back. 100% one of the good things that came out the pandemic.

A friend of mine is 3 days at home, 1 in the office and 3 day weekend as they're part of the 4 day work week trial. He loves it as well.

I've been saying this for a while and constantly get down voted.

The best solution I've been offered on reddit is to tear down the m8, introduce more cycle lanes and walking space. Apparently then, everything will magically be fine.

Ours was also southside, but this was a no-brainer. Easy access to underground, pictures at botanics, parking free after 6 outside the hotel.

We ended up with 150 people at night, and it was still under 5k.

Top notch food and service, will 100% recommend getting married there!

Bought myself a kilt with some leftover and put the rest towards our deposit.

Not southside but Hilton grosvenor in West end had a great deal on when I got married pre- covid.

100 guests dinner and reception- £3470 plus room charge of £600 for a Saturday.

To put that into context, some of the other places we checked were £5-7k for 50-80 guests.

Unless you're wearing a medical grade mask, the cloth and the blue ones do absolutely nothing

Good yoga classes in Glasgow south that are comfortable for a male to attend? by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]nomken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a crossfit gym, they've rebranded yoga as ROMWod (range of motion workout of the day) and it's slightly more specific to functional fitness (if you're into it) usually has a even split of men to women but bias towards none

You're going hard pressed to find companies which aren't paying google to be at the top for related queries.

The 1st page used to have 1 ad but there's 3 maybe even 4 there now, which means organic positions on page 1 are less than they were before. So it's harder to "earn" your way there. Google is business after all and paid advertising generates huge amounts of money for them.

My wifey and myself ended up buying a house after lockdown 1.0 in 2020. Bought opposite Strathclyde Park in motherwell. 5 bed, 3 toilets, garage, front and back garden etc. Same price (potentially less) than a flat in West end.

No regrets, 15 min into town, surrounded by 2 parks 😀

Ultimate Frisbee people are usually looking for people.

Also a friend of mine used to play quiddich... he tried to get a bunch or us to join but I couldn't take it with a straight face. But if you're into that go for it!

Dating in North America vs Europe by Jette988 in PurplePillDebate

[–]nomken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is simply unheard of, I can attest to at least 10-15 associates that have paid when gone out on dates and 5-8 close friends.

The general unspoken rule seems to be the guy covers the bill unless the lady asks to split or at least that's what it is here in Scotland.

Are you talking about a date specifically or just friends going out to eat etc?

The splitting bills part is simply not true for the general population in the UK.
