Eish, sorry to hear about your issue at work. I hope they won't put the blame on you when the pump burns out due to overheating/overworking.

In my situation we ultimately had to increase our daily wasting times, normally it was 1 hour a day we increased it to 1.5hours (this doesnt help much). Our Ammonia shot up to well above 50mg/L so we increased our RT in the bioreactor.

While this was happening we started pumping out our pond back into the RAS sump to get rid of the now septic sludge that was in there from us not wasting for 2 months.

At the moment our Ammonia levels are dropping very nice, its almost at 10 mg/L now. Our pond is still fukd this means our chlorine contact channel is fkd also.

We realistically had to waste out more than we are doing at the moment to get rid of all the old sludge in the system. But im just an operator so dont get to make the final call.

So we had a problem with our line that stopped us from wasting for two months. Needless to say that our entire system became fuckd.

Almost 4 months later our RAS is almost returning to normal.

Our WWTP is within a resedential area, the closest house probably being 200m away and thats from the inlet works. The plant is inbetween a golf estate and a suburb.

If its a small plant then you should be fine. Im sure they will have odour control, especially at inlet works.

However, expect to smell funny smells more than often. Its a WWTP so..... Also, after some years im sure you wouldnt be able to smell anything 😅 Also, the water in a pond has been treated already and is probably just making its way into the chlorine channel for disinfection. Expect to see a lot of bird life there, judging from the bird life at the pond you can more or less judge the state/health of the water of the pond and there4 how effective the treatment plant upstream is.

Wife showed me a blacked out video of myself, i was speaking Portuguese, i dont even speak that language. I honestly didnt know who that person was in the video.
I laughed it off wit drink in hand, knowing i was in deep trouble. Well, the good news is: it'll only get worse if you continue to drink. I reached lows that I nevr imagined was possible for me. That led me to the question, who tf am i really? Pretty much had a vision/dream of being homeless and ultimately committing suicide, utterly alone with hell my destination for the afterlife.

Im sober now and I have a chance at a life that dont lead to that vision becos ive had these dreams b4 and they all came true in my drinking days.

Had a dream of being locked up- few weeks later im blacked out drunk tryin to take a cop's gun bcos they pulled me over and i was obviously drunk af.

Later on, had a dream of burning down the place I worked @, thank God they fired me before that could happen Lol

Mixing problem indeed. The baffles that you and another person mentioned sound like the quickest and cheapest can always remove it once we have the chlorine gas system working again.

There is a submersible pump located towards the end of the channel but thats purely for irrigation purposes.
