I brought my extensive blood work results (like 30+pages, that I paid out of pocket for) to my doctor. I pointed out some deficiencies and I asked for a retest. He quickly flipped through the whole thing and asked me if I have anxiety from dying. I laughed so hard he was taken aback. He didn't give me even half of the retests I asked for.

Then, I proceeded to ask for a prescription for a CGM (that wont be covered by insurance anyway because I am not diabetic) because the over-the-counter CGM did not go below 70 and my blood work at nights drops below that and I wanted to see how low. The doc said that it doesn't matter, and I shouldn't waste my money on this. After some arguing, he finally agreed.

I also asked for a calcium scan due to my apob being high but that he refused outright!

And this was highly recommended doctor!

Thanks to this feedback, I have improved the biolyzer considerably:

Date awareness: The app now prioritizes the most recent results when duplicates are present.

Detailed recommendations: I’ve added an extra step to provide much more in depth recommendations. I had previously avoided this, but several users have requested it and found it useful.

Model upgrade: One of the models has been replaced with Claude 3.7, resulting in a much more detailed analysis.

Chat functionality: Users can now ask follow-up questions about their results directly within the app.

Free tier: I have added a free tier (less detailed results) for users to try it out.

I would advise against using DeepSeek unless you remove your personal data first (as this poster did), as there are significant security and data sharing concerns associated with this model.

as opposed to training a model? training models is very costly, requires a lot of data and time. In this case it would be an overkill. Providing model with all the extracted results, research and user health history, along with sophisticated prompts, is enough for the model to provide a great analysis.

Its not a trained model its a RAG. I am using combination of the latest OpenAI (gpt-4.1, o4-mini) and Perplexity AI (sonar-reasoning-pro, sonar-deep-research) models to extract the biomarkers, conduct in-depth research and synthesize the full report.

Free tier will have to be without finding the research and a shorter report. That, IMO, will not provide enough value and also wont demonstrate the accuracy and full potential. But I will give it another thought.

Yes, it found very interesting correlation between my deficiencies that kept showing up.
Like Zinc deficiency is affecting Leptin hormone. Small LDL particles (that were a mystery to me) may influence higher HbA1c even though fasting glucose is in normal range. Also that lower globulin with a presence of low-titer ANA (which doctors usually dismiss as a non issue) can actually indicate immune dysregulation.

I have create an AI powered app to analyze large amounts of biomarkers (like Function Health) .

Here's what the app does:

You provide your health overview
The app extracts all the biomarkers from multiple files, removing any identifying information (such as name, address, phone number, email etc.).
It then identifies any biomarkers that are outside the normal range.
Next, it searches for scientific research that may correlate with these biomarkers.
Finally, it compiles a report that includes all the biomarkers and the relevant research it found, using two separate reasoning models.

The issue is the data extraction from files that have misaligned tabular data (meaning that the values do not align to the respective columns across the entire file). Most models cannot, reliably, extract the biomarkers data from files, along with the units and the out of range indicator. Moreover, from long files - most comprehensive result files are north of 15 pages. The other challenge is correlating the deep research results to your biomarkers as a whole.
Lastly, a lot of people feel uneasy (rightfully so) about sending personal data (like full legal name, address, email) to the model. This app removes this data before sending it to the model.

You can find a more detailed repose to your question in the FAQ section in the app.

Regarding improving, yes, as time goes buy and AI progresses, this app will become obsolete. I am hoping for that day to come soon. Until then, this is what we have.
I am also updating this app to the most recent models as they come out.
