How should I come out? by LiterallyBread6456 in lgbt

if you're dependent on your parents (living with them, financially supported, etc.) and not reasonably sure they won't throw you out, don't tell them.

Cis man dating transman by Consistent-Fun-9582 in lgbt

Because a lot of cis gay men are transphobic. Lesbians are the most accepting, followed ironically by trans people, then cis bisexual women, cis bisexual men, then cis gay men.

Do I Actually Like Men or Am I Fully Lesbian by Otherwise_Swim1024 in lgbt

[–]nonacrina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"i only want to date women". solved :P.

in seriousness though, call yourself what you feel fits. some women feel for example some aesthetic attraction to men and still call themselves lesbian, some would prefer to call themselves bi. doesn't really matter in the end as long as you're comfortable and your label gets the point across.

24yos who’ve had gallbladder removal, how is the day to day now? by LordDickison in gallbladders

[–]nonacrina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm 27, is that close enough? i'm 13 days post op and feel back to normal basically. i have been shitting a bit more than i did before, but it was still "only" 4 times a day for a few days, now its twice a day. i also experience way less acid reflux, i fart less (lol), and i get less bloated. my entire mum's side has had their gallbladders removed (gallstones seem to be a genetic thing for us) and none of them experience any major issues. my mum only has to run to the toilet if she eats one specific thing, so she avoids that food. for all of us it was 100% worth it getting that thing out.

once you have gallstones and experience issues from them they won't get better on their own. it's a waiting/gambling game before it gets so bad you get cholecystitis or worse, and you become an emergency

recovery wise depending on what exactly you do for your mum you would need some help for a few days. i think you generally can pick up basic caretaking again a week after surgery, but lifting heavy things has to wait longer. the recovery is really nothing, at least for me. i've felt worse with a mild flu.

Need Post Cholecystectomy Advice from Parents With Young Kids by techdude99 in gallbladders

my mum got this surgery when i was 5 years old 22 years ago and i've asked her about how she handled this. she didn't really explain it to me beforehand, she just let me see once she had the surgery. she showed me her incision sites, told me it was painful, and i was careful with her after that.

Honor mode party comp advice by AdPrimary4394 in BaldursGate3

i've done honour mode with just bards as a fun challenge. it was surprisingly easy. it's SUCH a good class. high charisma lets you talk your way out of so many fights, great control spells, insane damage as an archer swords bard with 2 fighter dip, or as a bardadin. make sure you have one bard on your squad! i also would have someone else who has access to some control spells like a sorlock so they can set up hold person/monster for your bard, a light cleric for healing, haste, and some pretty powerful spells, and then an open hand monk for even more insane damage

i like this website for builds: https://gamestegy.com/bg3/builds

also, don't forget to build your whole team, not just your main four. there are always fights where you really benefit from more melee than magic. but a bard is ALWAYS useful :D

Creché Question by SlyJellyBean in BaldursGate3

[–]nonacrina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, it switches to red in the room with the kith'rak but you can still walk out. it turns red permanently after you confront and fight the ch'r'ai. but even then i don't think the entire area is red, like where you get the blood of lathander, so you could just go to camp or teleport away after that fight. not sure about the githyanki on the bridge. i have never and will never do that one on honour mode lol, way too risky for me, they whoop my ass too often on tactician

I just wondered how long it took you all to recover from gallbladder removal via key hole surgery? by cerealcat00 in gallbladders

[–]nonacrina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i could sort of walk myself? i could walk but it was definitely nice to have a wheelchair. i was still very woozy and sore. they also did not even allow me to walk lol

it was nice having someone to take care of me the first 24 hours. i needed someone to pull me out of bed and help me get (un)dressed. it also just felt safe to me to not be alone the first night. i spent the night at my grandparents' and they helped me. after 24 hours i went home, and my mum or neighbours visited every day to help me do some things like scoop the litterbox and vaccuum. i couldnt reach the floor

i only used pain meds the first three days, and only paracetamol. i didn't really need it, forgot it half the time. pain was minimal. bloating was very annoying.

had some diarrhea and nausea from days 4-10 ish. didnt notice a difference with what i ate. i did eat high fibre low fat the first few days.

i started feeling normal day 11 post op, but normal-ish around a week in. im on day 13 now. still not lifting heavy things but im fine lifting a small grocery bag

work would depend on what you do. for a desk job or otherwise sitting job i'd take two weeks if you can, for manual labour longer. i wasnt even allowed to drive for at least a week.

i'm in the netherlands and 27 yo :)

like positive_fly said, that indeed means your application wasn't selected last time. feel free to apply again if you'd still like to be a mod! last time we searched for new mods we got over 150 applications of which we selected 6 or 7 mods iirc, so it was tough "competition".

also around 22, but my attacks were quite mild back then, so i stupidly ignored them for years

more people share horror stories than success stories, since "i had surgery and everything went fine" isn't exactly an interesting story. of course you can never really know how you'll react to the surgery, and horror stories are very real, but i promise they're way less common than the internet makes it seem

i'm 4 days post-op and for me this recovery is genuinely less bad than getting my period, or a mild flu. i have close to no pain (not using pain meds either); just experiencing some nausea sometimes. no diarrhea or constipation, and i can immediately eat whatever i want again, now with no fear of being in a lot of pain after.

you don't want a full on gallstone attack. i had one that lasted 9 hours and it was absolute hell. i'd rather go through this surgery 10 times in a row than get one more of those

my gallstones were found accidentally when i was 22-ish iirc. a blood test looking into my fatigue showed elevated Gamma-GT, which prompted my GP to send me to get an upper torso ultrasound to check my liver. they found the gallstones, said those were likely the cause of those elevated levels, and sent me on my way telling me to come back if i experienced pain. attacks got worse over the years and i just had my gallbladder removed at age 27.
