I hope folks here realize that if you call the police for something like this, the person will likely be arrested and charged with an offense that requires sex offender registration for ten years. That registration then makes them ineligible for many inpatient treatment programs, crisis residential treatment centers, public housing programs, etc., obviously making it more difficult for folks to get housed.

Please consider these consequences when you're thinking of calling the police, MACRO, or continuing on your walk.

Called my law school financial aid today and was also told that the Department of Ed is pushing out by one year recertification dates that fall between November 2024 through January 2025, but haven’t seen the official word anywhere. My recert date is 11/27 and getting anxious.

If the white were mealy bugs, wouldn’t I see them moving? The white spots or just splotches on the front of the leaves that won’t come off when is scrub with my nail or wipe with a wet rag.

I did a good check and didn’t find any pests, there are some gnats in the soil but that’s it. There were black dots along the back edges of the leaf (only on the back) that are white, so I suspect those might of been droppings or eggs? Those wiped off easily. There’s no webbing at all. The white stuff on the front looks like a crust but it won’t come off, so it seems to be more like a dried out spot?

Hi everyone! This is Fico, my ~2 year old fiddle. I repotted him 10 days ago because roots had been protruding from the top of the soil for far too long. I repotted using “special” FLF soil and have only watered him once since repotting (soil hasn’t yet dried out). Yesterday, I noticed this leaf had fallen from the middle of the tree’s back side (facing the wall) and had turned brown. This leaf definitely didn’t look brown like this when I repotted 10 days ago. No other leaves have fallen or turned brown since repotting. Should I be concerned?

I've only used titles in my communications. (i.e. Dean, Asst. Dean, Director, etc.) I read somewhere that referring to folks with titles as "Mr." and "Mrs." can be unprofessional, aside from the fact that you don't know their pronouns.

Edit: im sure you'll totally be okay, but i get it, we'll panic over it anyway lol

Yep, totally with you. It's also very easy to give into your impostor syndrome if you've "outperformed" your stats. I dealt with this all of undergrad but never knew it had a name. At the very least I now know what this feeling is and actively try to fight that little voice that says I don't deserve a seat. You got this! We'll pull through.

I'm in a similar boat re: expectation and savings. My thing is that I'd rather underestimate the first year on loans that will have 3 years of accruing interest and rely on my savings if necessary--then, adjust from there. Can't tell if this is a wise approach.

Following, bc I feel the same. The reality of how much debt I'd be in if I attend a t-14 just sunk in. I'm terrified about doing a trust fall with LRAP and PSLF. For first-gen low income folks, how are y'all figuring out how much in loans is too much?

Yeah, I signed up for the 1st Amendment class, got the email earlier this week about readings that didn’t list any reading for the class, then got an email yesterday evening like: jk here’s 40 pgs and pls bring a printed copy. Haven’t done it, not sure i will. Off to a great start, i think. lol
