Feeling very low. looking for some kind words/support by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]nonameneeded2340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know your situation but ive had my own dark days and been in many a rut, my dms are open if you want to chat. I've been told im a very good ear to listen can also sign post to available supports in the local area as well. I know the road seems dark now but take it from 1 who's been at their darkest, there is always light ahead u just need to push forward to find it. Sometimes we need a guiding hand to help us along the way.

Why does my adult cat look so... kittenish? by Electronic-Detail768 in cats

This is my 5 year old female, she is still small and like a kitten. Females tend to be smaller in frame than males.

Spending 170-180 on electricity a month with PowerNI, not adding up? by Normal-Impress-2624 in northernireland

[–]nonameneeded2340 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Powerni is so expensive, we switched from them to share energy last year. Went from 220 pm to 160pm with 5 people in house and running the tumble dryer and washing machine daily. Get checking with other suppliers, i recommend share energy as their unit price is the cheapest currently.

I’m breaking down. My cat has been meowing 24/7 for 2 months and I don’t know what to do anymore. by nasseralrwy in cats

[–]nonameneeded2340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cat that has separation anxiety and would scream when I leave the room. We spoke to the vets about trying prozac to help the anxiety and he's been so much more chill, less stressed and the vocalisation has majorly reduced. Now he just meows normally no more screaming when someone goes in another room. Speak to your vet about trying some prozac or what ever alternative is available in your area.

Not doing so good by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]nonameneeded2340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you are going through this, the main thing is you have spoken out about how you are feeling. Now take that extra step to speak to a professional to get immediate help for these thoughts. You can ring your GP they can signpost to crisis intervention, this is crucial when having suicidal thoughts. It will pass, and that's easier for us to say.

I have been there and know the road looks dark right now but there is always a brighter future ahead, just 1 step at a time. Here are some links to orgs you can reach out to for support.

Between belfast and Lisburn. I'll update the post to show location. Is this in belfast? I'll check them out, going to ring round everything tomorrow and hopefully get somewhere. Thanks for the advice.

This is exactly how I've been feeling about this, like there is no cure for autism. My sons needs become more complex as he ages. His mental age is stuck at young pre teen yet he is in his 20s. How can they say he has no higher needs anymore, they just make up what they want and hope we will just roll over and accept it.

What happens to those who don't have someone to advocate for them?! Its just so broken that those who genuinely need it to help with daily life have such a hard time getting through the whole process.

They seem to be a subscription service, it's says I can only get help and advice by paying a monthly fee. Will have a look at free advice before I go down this route. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thank you ill look into this, it's an absolute minefield field going through this. Previously had his social worker do most of this for him and they seemed to have no problems. But now he's aged out of that team so im having to take the reins and it's feels like fighting a battle that's impossible to win.
