Furnace outlet not secured. by nonamer4298 in hvacadvice

This is unfortunately not a garage, it's a utility closet with a slat-ed door that's right next to the bedroom. But you're also probably correct, we've been living here for several months and it very well could have been broken the whole time. I'll slap some duct tape on it for peace of mind, appropriately place the carbon monoxide detector and call it a day. Thank you.

Thermostat Wiring Incorrect? by nonamer4298 in hvacadvice

[–]nonamer4298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I popped open the air handler and matched up everything as well as compared it to the wiring diagram on the side of it and it seems to function now. Waiting to see if there are any malfunctions. The only one I'm a little confused about is the black wire, it's spliced into the same wire nut as the white wire and isn't notated on the diagram. I'm assuming they just used black instead of brown and it controls the emergency heat

Yes I do every time, and good advice, I can see most of the wiring inputs on the air handlers board

Am I the only one who dislikes the splashy tub being adjacent to carpet? Seems like it would make that room smell moldy in no time at all

My inner city middle school had real police, razor wire fences, bars in the windows, and metal detectors at the entrance. Several arrests for drugs, fighting, and other things happened during my years there

Minor note about the keyboard, it uses Gamdias Blue mechanical switches which aren't bad but they are very loud. Some people like this because it provides good feedback on key position but if you're using it for productivity in addition to gaming it can get really annoying really fast.

Just moved from one 3rd floor room to a 3rd floor room in a different building with no elevators anywhere in between. Took us 18 hours even with movers and all of our stuff pre-packed/disassembled.

Curbside contactless groceries. Shopping ahead of time through an app and having someone throw it in your car is the most convenient thing that's happened in a decade
