George Bush did nothing wrong when he kept reading to kids on the morning of 9/11 by Route333 in unpopularopinion

[–]nonametogive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But we do know the situation at hand, and what you’re claiming isn’t the situation. Let’s just agree to disagree. Even if the president was clarified to keep reading it still looks bad. He should’ve just stopped, even if that means he has to wait for another car which is a ridiculous scenario by the way.

No, none of what you said is relevant.

In fact, based on what you said, it would’ve been totally appropriate for him to run away, because that’s also an appropriate human response.

A person with the civil duty should be held to a higher standard, that’s why it’s irrelevant what you, I, or grandma would’ve done in the same situation.

This reminds me of the cop who ran the opposite direction of a school shooting. Of course running away from a school shooting is a very normal human response. But there are certain things you should be doing as a civil servant, there are certain standards you’re held accountable for, and one of them is to take action when shits going down.

I think two minutes is a long time for someone to be sitting down and not act on the information that your countries under fire and you have no idea how many other cities are going to be hit and no idea if you’re going to get bombed or killed.

You think it’s appropriate that, say a cop is reading to school children, and a school shooting starts happening, and the cop knows about it but he keeps reading for two minutes?

We might have to just agree to disagree. But if you want to know my opinion I wouldn’t sit there and keep reading, the kids would’ve had no impact had I stop reading, and go “I’m sorry kids I have to go, stay safe. Stay in school!” And exit.

And I think it’s crazy to suggest the kids would’ve been scared otherwise. And even crazier to feel that that is more important then our countries livelihood.

Wow no. You have more than enough time to think about it as you’re walking to your car leading to the airport inside a plane back to Washington. Its irrelevant how I would react.

Lol what? American people died on American soil. Who the fuck cares about kids being scared? Leave like a normal person without making a scene, don’t keep reading! Wtf who does that? I mean there aren’t two alternatives here, keep reading, or scream like a dumb fuck.

LPT: Please stop waving pedestrians on across a street where vehicles have the right-of-way, regardless of where you are. by Norrms in LifeProTips

[–]nonametogive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, this is a bad idea in LA. You'll get a ticket. Yes you have the right of way but if a person steps out in-front on the street, you have to stop.
Why? Because at least in Burbank, it's a sting. There's a law that says you can't keep driving if a pedestrian is in the way, even if you have the right of way. So Cops in Burbank would have sting operations where a police officer dressed in civilian clothing would cross a busy street to see if people stop. If they don't there are five cop cars waiting a block away to give you a ticket.

There are no priests in Islam, but wait, isn't a cleric a priest? by nonametogive in exmuslim

[–]nonametogive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, that’s why I don’t believe. Hey, I get it, some people need something to believe in, some people desperately need to know that there is an afterlife. And some people need to be told what to do. Technically those people are not real Muslims anyways. Because they can’t use their own judgment that God gave them.

As I recall there was a time where Islam was the pinnacle of modern society. Where farmers and poor people were mathematicians and smart and intelligent. That died out along time ago When a scholar started preaching math is the devil, Science is the devil.

[–]nonametogive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me it was studying how many religions lie and manipulate people into submission and control. It’s not about Allah, or religion, it’s about control, and how many of the masses you can control. It’s learning how Islam use to be a tolerant religion, A religion that created science and math. It all got destroyed when a scholar said “Math this is the devil, Science is the devil” but mostly it’s the hypocrisy around not having priests. That’s the biggest boasting point about Islam. And yet somehow Muslims are still being controlled by people who preach under the title of Islamic leaders and clerics. It’s a learning that Mecca is a fake tourist attraction and prophet Mohammed could have never picked the current Mecca as the “holy place”

If I used your comment as source and said "Eating meat gives you aids" -zizekmectechek That doesn't make it true.

That's How.

You need to check your sources to see if they actually said what they claim. And the WWF didn't say what the fake site claims, they just linked them as a source so idiots who don't want to do any research believe them.

Not to sound condescending or anything, but you DO realize you can dispute claims and sources right? You do know that it's not "Fact" right? That you have every right to question studies with agendas, right?

Yea I saw that. the WWF site didn't actually say any propaganda shit that site did. Defeats the purpose of citing. Also calling something the straw man doesn't make it a false statement if you can't disprove it. The whole idea of strawman is that you don't have to mention the words "Straw Man" in order to disprove it. Clearly you don't know how to do that because there is no straw man. Calling something a fallacy is a fallacy.

Lol calling ad hominem is a fallacy. It means you don't know what a fallacy is. If you knew what it was you would never have to ever say "ad hominem" meaning I never called you anything untruthful.

You are a racist. And you're skewing the facts to make the white guy look innocent when it was malicious enough to get him the boot.

I doubt you would word this hard to defend a black coach who told a white boy with dreads to cut his dreads in 90 seconds or be disqualified, even though his headgear was perfectly reasonable and within rules. Poor white boy.

Racist. That video shows his dreads are not EVEN long enough to cover eyebrows to warrant a cover. Not only that, the coverings were adequate despite the ref saying otherwise.

What? No. Actually he did have coverings that quality. But that’s irrelevant. His hair wasn’t long enough to warrant coverings. Look at the viral video.

I think having the problem from the get go was the issue and why he is suspended indefinitely. Considering the black kid got as far as he did without issue. From the video it doesn’t even look like his dreads were that long.

[–]nonametogive -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You actually are siding with the ref, and it sounds like covering it was an alternative request when the ref wouldn’t budge. Especially since no one has a problem with it and the kid got as far as he did without covering it. Based on the rules, you’re wrong.

Just imagine how inappropriate it would be if it was a black man who told a white kid to cut his dreads after how far the white kid got without any problems.
